yeah great idea after the games are dead. what genius came up with this also they nerfed the shotguns that they added to kill off modern warfare 3 so you would go play black ops ! all done on purpose. then patch now cause the new black ops is coming out soon and both games are dead. absolute clowns.Finally we are back to not having to launch the COD app and enter/exit multiple times to launch the game you want to play
This should make jumping into a game much quicker - like it used to be

I play MW3 daily, it takes seconds to get into any hardcore match.
The only game newer is BO6 which came out in October... Yes a new one is coming, but MW3 is still packed with active players, whatever time/day you play. I however agree regarding MW2, that is old.
I have no interest in BO games. All I hear, is people moaning about hackers, and kids swearing in the servers and bugs. MW3, I never have any issues.

Finally. It was a horrible idea.
i played cod mw3 daily since it came out with my lot. they added in reclaimers to kill off the game and make people go to black ops 6. ive been playing cod since
day 1 it EVER came out. so yes they knew what they were doing they only fixing it now because the player numbers are as low as they ever been for years and a new cod is coming out which....is going to bomb as well. you have battlefield releasing just before it and other fps big game updates. cod is screwed.
59000 peak players. right now. when mw2 launched 450000. these clowns killed their own franchise with greed and stopped being original.

never said its your fault in any of the responses. its cod. they basically killed mw3 by adding reclaimers. knew how bad they would effect the game just to get people to buy black ops 6. black ops 6 has been a total flop. player base is at the lowest its ever been. then they like oh...lets nerf the reclaimers.make the games have seperate launchers. people wanted this 9 months ago. just shows you how out of touch they are. battlefield 6 drops this octobber. which will hopefully shake up cod to make a decent game again.

Black ops 6 is the most popular on game pass and has been for ages. In reality you have no idea whether it’s a flop or not. You really have some pent up rage against CoD and for some reason are taking it out on the OP? Why bother posting?
i do have a idea called the figures and players numbers since it released. you can check yourself. its easy. its been a flop.i have no pent up rage just cant stand half assed big studios who are just milking franchises because of no competition.
i want a good cod. there hasnt been one since 2019 tbh. only reason that was decent is they included a lot of cod 4 content. played cod since day one of the first game over 20 years ago. so hardly a hater with no experience.
if you go on steam you will see peak player numbers which includes all cod games. doesnt even top 60000. two and 3 years ago that number was close to 500000 people daily. they basically have made cod worse and worse milked it till people just got fed up of it and moved on . the only reason it gets any players now is cause there isnt any competition. battlefield 6 and other games releasing soon will hopefully spur on the cod team to actually make a good game again.

I was simply starting this thread, to help people that may have stopped playing due to the annoyance the forced COD, might not be aware that we now have MW3 separate, so it might encourage them to jump back in again? Because like you said, we wanted a separate launcher ever since they forced us to use the awful COD app.
Regardless of statistics online, I never have an issue finding a match, I do only play hardcore modes, but I'm always near instantly put into a match, or can cancel if I don't like the map, then straight into one I do like.
I get that it isn't 'as fun as it was', but I still enjoy playing hardcore modes, daily; this makes mine and other like minded peoples lives easier - as I'm making the best of what we have to work with
I play it daily, with no issues? It doesn't crash, plently of matches near instantly? Are you sure you're not on the shadowban naughty list, and are only matched with hackers?

my lot played every night for many years on cod we mainly played s and d or cyber attack. the problem is with the stupid decisions they made they literally killed it off.you like hardcore thats okay...id rather eat glass. in the modes we played the changed literally killed the game.which we played every night. so because so few were playing and we had a known team we literally couldnt get games as people just left every time it found a lobby after waiting for minute or two. then you would get a lobby and it would be nothing but skilless reclaimer nerds with shields. which like said they added to kill off the game. as they were so op.
so if all of these changes in the patch notes which is the last patch for mw3 were done 9 months ago the game would be thriving. but as said they just wanted people to stop playing the older games and go buy black ops 6 which didnt happen and is a flop. based off the player numbers.
the funny thing is now they seperated the games soon you will see the exact numbers for each cod. so for them its even worse ! cod really needs a shake up and hopefully battlefield 6 will do it and other games releasing this winter. black ops 7 will be a failure too. only sheep will buy it.numbers will be low and if battlefield hits cod is going to struggle for a long while.

I like hardcore, because it's more realistic, in terms of how easily you can get killed - makes it 'closer' to what I liked (but am now very bored of, with CS. Plus having no HUD etc, is nice and immersive. For years all I would play is hardcore deathmatch; which quickly flushes out the men from the boys!
I tend to play, most modes bar S&D and Cyber Attack - to be fair I can't remember if I have played CA or liked it

Not sure, I skipped that one, which was a shame as MW1 remake was decent in both SP/MP.
MW1 was the one that got me sucked back into it. I stuck with MW2 for a while. I actually forgot MW3 was out lol. I played a good few hours of the most recent Black Ops, enough that I was prestige 3 or 4. Then my Gamepass ran out and I didn't feel like buying it.
Excellent news, it was a pain getting friends together to play when you had to get them to download the HQ, then the right game, launch HQ, find the right game hidden among all the ads, then do update requires restart, then shaders then we could play.
I much prefer playing older cods, once they have added all the content, fixed the bugs, theoretically balanced it the best and the player base is smaller and has fewer tryhards.
We currently play MWII as our game, not too many people play but I really enjoy the 100 health, plus quickfix on the hardpoint is broken for people who play the objective.

Never got a chance to play MW2 online, be it the original or remake, sadly, but I heard good things about it!
Haha, it's pretty good for what it is, or was. I waited till it was on a steam sale, for £39.99 I thought it was worth it

Yep! For this very reason, I didn't mind waiting 6 months to buy MW3 when it was on sale.

After the split I did try MWII again (on the ps5 granted), then gave up and loaded into MWIII, certainly feel that is the best CoD to play since MW19, MP wise anyway. Quite happy they have split the games off, I really don't enjoy BO6 (apart from zombies and I'm pretty bored with that too now), so splitting MWIII off means I can just uninstall the COD HQ entirely when I want to.
