Karen Pirie 2nd series.... what a petulant little cow.

First series was good but this was so contrived and longwinded. Her character has turned into a unlikable nightmare. Doesn't need to be anywhere near as long.

If there is a third series I don't think I'll bother. Should make a spin off for Mint.

Just finished and enjoyed Untamed on Netflix, the scenery is stunning and I had to keep checking it wasnt in UHD but looked like it was.

On a Frasier binge at the moment; 1 episode a day before work. I'm up to Series 5 now. I prefer to imagine that the new(ish) series doesn't exist, as it pales in comparison imo.

For me Frasier was an awesome show, ironically though NOT because of Frasier but because of Niles. Niles is what made that show imo and sadly...the show took a nosedive in later seasons due to the Niles storyline

Finished watching The Punisher Season 1, final 2 episodes were brilliant. Haven't read good things about Season 2.

Just started watching Mr Inbetween.

I think the whole cast made Frasier personally. Particularly the core cast of Frasier, Niles, Martin, Roz and Daphne. They all were incredibly funny characters that played off each other. I think it kept up the humour pretty well over it's run. I think the first season is the hardest to watch again, it hadn't quite found it's rhythm yet.

Finished Season 6 of the handmaids tale. What a slog that was. Had some good moments/scenes but overall pretty boring. 6/10

New season of Dexter.
I regret starting this before the series was finished. Hate watching one episode per week.
It’s pretty good so far. I could easily binge it.

Just finished the Untamed, which imo should have been called Uninteresting and will not be watching the second series on Netflix.

So for the last wee while I have been exploring a few of the ITV drama's.

River- A crime drama exploring the complexities of grief and mental illness and other taboo subjects + murder. I thought it was really excellent. I highly recommend this if you haven't seen it. It has Nicola Walker in it and a few other very recognisable actors'. It also has Stellan Skarsgard who is a well known Swedish actor. 9/10

Fearless- I can see why it only had one season but it was still really enjoyable thriller. I particularly loved watching the late Helen McCrory star in it. 7/10

Too Close- Again another very enjoyably dark psychological thriller but I wouldn't watch it again as it was emotionally quite tough to get through. I think it was a bit too close to home with betrayals and mental health breakdowns and dementia. Depressing is certainly one word for it! 7/10

A Mothers Son- Brilliant. 9/10

Injustice- It reminded me a bit of The Punisher. It was okay but whilst trying to offer something different, it just didn't quite get there for me. I'd watch another series of it though if it came out but not sure if they will do one. 6/10

Innocent- I raced through both series on 2 nights and would really like to see another series if they did one. 8/10

I'm now on The Jury and watched all of series 1 last night and looking forward to seeing the 2nd tonight. There is definitely room to do some more so hopefully that will happen as it is also apparently doing well on Netflix. I highly recommend this too if you haven't seen it as so far it is another 9/10 for me.

Loch Ness on Netflix. 6 parts, 40-45mins each. Wife and I really enjoyed it. Murder mystery, detective type thing. Couldn't work out the villain, but we had our targets. Wasn't who we thought. Solid 8/10, as I would happily watch it again with someone who hadn't seen it before.

I kind of took a quick look at that and forgot about it.

Might download that once I've finished The Woke Sandman

Binge watched the last 6 episodes of Murderbot and warmed to it a lot. Each episode is about 23 mins so easy enough to just keep clicking 'next episode'. Can't see how they'll move forward but you never know. Seems weird watching a season 1 show with a satisfactory conclusion these days.
It’s based on a pretty lengthy book series, though the books a pretty short and pulp sci-fi stuff really. I wouldn’t watch it if it was 50 minute episodes, but the 20-25 minutes episodes make it decent enough entertainment. I didn’t bother reading past the first book mind.

So much good sci-fi out there that would make great series, wish some more interesting stuff would get made.
