Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

Nobody has confirmed what the formal bid was have they? Just that they were considering a bid of £120m - which doesn't seem like a lowball offer.
Paul Joyce has said it was under £120m but nobody is reporting a concrete figure. It could all be part of the dance and this is all PR now with Newcastle not wanting to be seen to have rolled over.

I think the only thing that stops the deal happening now is if Newcastle cannot sign a replacement or two. Isak seems set on the move and there's been a clear change in stance from Newcastle from he's not for sale to 'we want £150m' and more recently 'once we sign a replacement' and even Newcastle journo's saying Newcastle are unhappy that we've not bid.

I assume due to the optics in selling clubs not seeing the huge cash influx and ramping up prices, but even if that is what he means it's still madness to suggest anything other than guaranteed income would be a better outcome.

Sorry to disappoint but he's full of **** Bigpig.

Selling clubs wouldn't have any idea of the payment terms until Newcastle release their accounts in 7-9 months time. Newcastle probably already have that problem too. The one thing Saudi can do within PSR is provide Newcastle with cash to pay fees up front and selling clubs will pushing hard for that.

Just clarifying here that i was trying to understand/explain the other posters thought process on their behalf. In no way shape or form did i agree with it :p

Oh I know. I suspect he thinks there's some PSR advantage or something. There isn't of course but I'm intrigued what he thinks.

Good. Didn't want to be included in that.

We had a new FD at work a few months ago who noticed a load of issues in some reports. He made a casual comment to my boss about who rolled the files forward and was told i did it. She mentioned it a week later at which i pointed out i was busy and delegated it out.
I'm 99% sure i've convinced him i'm not an useless at my job by now so am always conscious!

I'm sure Newcastle would rather get say £80m now and £60m in staggered payments and achievable add-ons than £110m now with £10m in add-ons.

Both for the optics and in terms of overall income.

But then I don't understand wtf is going through their (or most people's) heads.

Wrong thread?

Surely with that sort of money you can persuade Sesko to join your cause.
Sesko is a strange one. His agent is a **** and ****** up his move to Arsenal. He’s open to both clubs but favours Manu.

Amorim doesn’t want Sesko and wants Watkins. Manu board wants Sesko but can’t afford him!!

Sounds like a big pile of poo!!

Not a chance when Manu are offering £300k a week

Surely Newcastle will have to bite the bullet and start paying big wages if they want to be a top club?

The club can afford him without any sales, apparently. Although sales are inevitable (hopefully, anyway).

Personally I think this saga will drag on, I suspect Isak will have to hand in a request and will get messier.

If it’s true and I don’t read enough in Newcastle community but if his behaviour reported is true do fans want him back or want him gone?

Just every report I’ve seen state the asking price is a stumbling block and trying to do player and cash deals. Who knows!!
