How much cash to take on all inclusive trip?

Depends wherer i go. If it's a european country then yes, i go cashless. If im travelling outside of europe eg Asia or any other destination, then i will take some cash with me, around £200/300.

Of course i do take my Monzo and Halifax clarity card with me.

We just got back from ten days AI in the Maldives.

We tipped the suitcase movers ten dollars on arrival, ten on departure, the driver who took us to the room and showed us the facilities a tenner, the waiter (we sat in the same area in the restaurant every meal so got to know him) a tenner every two or three days, and the cleaner a tenner every few days.

About $150 in all.

I'm not really into tipping but the wife says we ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO and the staff were all really friendly and relaxed and funny, so I don't mind.

I'll always have some cash with me on holiday, regardless if in Europe or not. I'm a tipper so find it easier to whip out a note or coins here and there rather than asking to amend the card machine etc. to put it on the card.
