Indeed. Looked like a typical “generational driver” dive and Lewis didn’t want to get hit. Whether or not they made contact is irrelevant - it all depends how Max made the move.

I thought they only get the onboards that are broadcast and they have to download the others after the race. Due to lack of bandwidth on the cars.

If there's a hint that Max didn't have his car in the position the guidelines they publicised says it should be and another car has ended up off track, it's worth their while to 'investigate' if only so they can try and apply some clarity as to why they don't see it as a penalty - if they just ignored it entirely and then after race replies replays show something more untoward, they'll get a load of flack for something they've tried to avoid by publishing the guidelines.

He already put in a number of fast laps early into the start of this hard tyre, might have already taken some decent life out of it already before he needs it to defend vs Charles and Oscar later.

And if he was innocent and slam dunk as u and others have said, why are they wasting there time looking at it after the race...

If you look at the pace/lap times being done on the older hards vs. the newer ones, it's a significant difference. As well as Lando properly rattling some early laps in.

Yeah, I was second guessing that she's actually his partner and not his sister or something. She looks so young lol.
 
Basically, for all those saying it's a slam dunk legit overtake, the rules say the front axel of the car needs to be ahead of the front mirror of Hamilton at the apex and you have to give room for the car aka Hamilton to make the move stick.

You clearly see Hamilton having to go off track to avoid collision...
 
Tyre offset rarely means much these days. Since Charles seems to have lost pace I reckon we might get Oscar in P2 and that's probably the end of it.

Surprise 1 stop typically wins it.
