Titan Quest 2

I will have to see how long it takes me, the average on the steam forums is a consensus of around 10 hours to do everything, so if Raxx is taking less than half that time he must be either skipping or missing stuff, or skipping all the dialog and lore etc and just rushing it.
I watched his stream yesterday ... he didn't skimp on anything other than a handful of side quests. But that was a singular playthrough with an ice mage build. There is some replayability trying different classes / builds.

No idea how he is doing it in half the time of others then, even in the comments on his video there is someone who says that they are only on the second boss after 6 hours played, either the build he was playing as was super OP, or the difficulty was turned down so that he could rush it, or he skipped on more side content than he thought, by his own admission, contrary to what you wrote, he didnt do "most" of the sidequests, he says in the video that he did "a lot of sidequests", so perhaps he missed more side content than he thought. Not that it hugely matters of course, he also says in his video that he thoroughly enjoyed it, so the key to take from his video I guess is that its a good game, early access of course but better to pay £24.99 now than £49.99 at release I suppose

It's £19.99 right now.

Contemplating it myself, I loved the first game.

Never said he didn't enjoy it. He did most of the content - I watched the stream. Ice mage build appears to be one of the more powerful builds, so yes, it could take longer to complete with another class. I'm happy to wait for the game to be finished before considering picking it up ; it's going to be a long time until all the content is ready. Also, for others not in the know - this game isn't being made by the devs who made the original Titan Quest ( Crate Entertainment ). TQ2 is being made by Grimlore Games - previous works include Spellforce 3 and remastering the old TQ into an Anniversary edition when THQ acquired the rights.

I'll drop money on it, the different preview builds had some speedy updates and they were very keen to take on feedback and engage in discussion with the community. There's still a lot of fine tweaking to do with classes skills, but they have the bones of a decent little game there, it has the feel of the first game too so I feel like it's in good hands.

I've not checked how much content was in this early access build, but I had a decent amount of time on the clock for the couple of acts that I played across a couple of different characters.

Think I read an estimate of 1.0 dropping toward the end of next year, I'm happy (and already have) to buy it now and play it through the iterations of early access between now and then, £20 is a very small drop in the ocean to play the game on and off over the course of the next (potential) 18 months :)

It took me a little over 7 hours to get to the end of the current content, explored all the map and did every side quest I found. I really enjoyed it, although the itemization is a little generic at the moment I'd assume thats a) because its the starting area and b) because its in EA. I look forward to future content releases and would've bought this anyway so at £20 I was happy to take a punt early.
