I think there's a number of things in play here, and I say this as a Ferrari fan for the past 30 years:
1) Lewis has tried to change dynamics and tried to take this up to the top dogs and he's basically been put in his place.
2) The car looks like it may be capable of winning a race this season at certain tracks if they can get their act together (the race team)
3) The problem with (2) is if they can win a race, it's most likely going to be Leclerc doing so based on the current stats.
4) Unfortunately Lewis' prime days are beyond him and it'll take a super dominant car like the McLarens are this season to even get a sniff of a podium for him. He was beat quite comfortably by GR last season so even then it would take something going bad for Leclerc.
With all that said, let's see what happens in the 2nd half of the season, would love to see him win a race in red.
