what headphones do you own thread - i own dt150's :)

Initial thoughts whilst I wait for Evri driver to decide I'm next on his route?

Nice looking headphone. The swoosh, dark wood colour and black plastic colour on the side of the drivers works.

I did see neck muscle workout videos on r/headphones the other day, which you two are going to need for those :p

PS. A lot of people have IEM addiction :D

I can't turn it up to my usualy listening level as I am in an open plan office. Listening through the Onix atm.

1 - It is comfortable, like 2 pillows on the side of my head.
2 - It is heavy, but secure on the head, clamp force is not bad at all considering I am on max extension. Just try not run around in these.
3 - Build quality is great, it oozes quality, the hinge is nicely dampened but there is a tiny bit of creak, weirdly only on 1 direction of turn on the right ear cup.
4 - The cables are very nice. Kinds stiff, but not too bad. It has a fabric sleeve over some metal strands inside that stays in place if you bend it. I wonder how this would wear over time. The termination is this brown gun metal finish.

edit - this cable (the 4.4mm one) is definitely weird, it has this memory of the shape, I can't quite lay it down flat on my desk lol

I can't quite tell what the grill is made of. On the skin it feels plastic but if I tap it with my nail it has a metalic ping.

Oops I assumed it was plastic. I don't always like the look of some of these 'cybermen' planar headphones, but I think Fosi have nailed the look. Looks premium and more than it cost too.

Of course it doesn't really matter what a headphone looks like really, you never see the thing anyway.
 
Did you back the upgrade cable edition or just the regular edition? The one I backed comes with the additional 4.4mm cable which is the LN2 cooled one and said to be very pliable and stuff.

I went for the upgraded option. It comes with 2 pair of cables and extra pads (in that white plastic bag), delivered outside the main box. The cable isn't stiff, it is bendy, but it stays in the shape you bend it to.

That cable..... wouldn't be for me.... I've gotten rid of cables that acted like that!

Edit: Also Raymond gets the quota of internet points I have to allocate today, for getting his first!

Just means the inner sheath retain memory, which is fine, nothing to do with the actual cable core itself. Had cabels like that in the past and miss that feature.

Some on headfi didn't fair so well with their delivery it seems, one guy:

Mine just arrived, with all kinds of damage. Scratches to the wood on one ear piece, a small tear in the leather headband, a dent/rip in the plastic wrap thing surrounding the driver. And when I put them on, I hear a slight rattle of something in left earcup, something must be loose.

Very disappointed after waiting so long for these to arrive. I haven’t bothered to listen to them yet until I get a response from Fosi. I’m also assuming the rattle I hear will affect the sound when I listen. Hopefully they can resolve this for me because I’m very excited for these headphones

Meanwhile another guy posted some pics of his new i5 by placing the headphones, face down on the floor lol. Nice floor dirt on your face anyone?
