I have been using some packable hiking trousers for my lower waterproofs. They are goretex but single layer to keep them very lightweight and packable. I find they are great except for around my crotch. For some reason I still get a little damp there.

My Scott waterproof jacket is great and never feels damp anywhere. It has a rubberised coating on the outside but is quite stretchy. The slight downside is that they are a littIe bulkier than my packable hiking stuff. I think I'm going to try the Scott waterproof trousers.

Just thought someone would be interested in one piece leather suit as that is excellent price

Unless you're green with envy if I get it. Because you know it's green :D

Looked at the £250 two piece leathers again, all lack the pouch for the back armour.
Just get a strap on... Back armour. More chance of it actually being where you need it should the worst happen

Honestly coming from someone who's done all this just spend the money on decent textiles rather than splitting the money and getting ok leathers and ok textiles.

Textile will usually be cooler in summer. Leather is more protective but for almost everything else textile is better (obviously depending on the specific jacket).

And then the Oxford waterproofs that Diddums suggested. I've tried on the Lysvik jacket and it's a great starter jacket. Comfortable, well vented, doesn't look too bikerish so OK to wear off the bike. Will look fine on any style of bike. You also can't go wrong with riding jeans. The only reason I don't have one is I already have too many jackets.

These days I'd say some of the aramid jeans are basically as good as leather in terms of protection. Leather also let's you slide a lot further (good on track where you've got the space, not so good when you've got walls/kerbs/other hard objects in the way).

Let's be honest, we can continue giving useful advice for the rest of eternity, we'll still be on this roundabout in 2040.

Well I'm still waiting for provisional to come back

Guess if I was a drug dealer, machete carrying, baraclava wearing, 3 on a 125cc scooter, no number plate, I'd be zooming around now.

Going to JS tomorrow to see leather two piece, and textile, but seems most of the "sale" items are not in stock.

You honestly don't need leathers to do a CBT and ride a 125. Leathers are designed and cut to be in a tuck position, and going at pace to keep cool. You're never going to do this on a 125. You will end up fatigued, uncomfortable, hot, and most of all, disappointed.

Get a decent textiles jacket and some jeans. This is all you need. You don't need a two piece race suit.
