Both finished in the top 10.
Ignoring the large DRS train on a track where overtaking is difficult?

If this was on a track where there was more overtaking chances, I suspect both of them would have fallen massively and would have been lucky to finish in front of Hamilton.

What DRS train? Looking at the results, Alonso was 7 seconds ahead of Bortoleto who was 2 seconds faster than Stroll who was - just - over a second faster than Lawson who was 3 seconds faster than Verstappen. No DRS train there.

they were competitive in qualifying only.

I don't agree. Their pace throughout the race was pretty decent (see charts here). Obviously not up there with the best runners, but solid for the places they finished. I'd put their success down to making the one stop work as much as success in qualifying.

Probably referring to this...

Amazing, Alonso genuinely had a 14 car DRS train that he controlled to run this own pace.

Love that at one stage he was lapping 2s a lap slower than the leaders - then the next lap was faster.

You could see Alonso pace was deliberate (rather than couldn't go faster) when he pulled away at leisure when he needed to find the pit gap.

So got back from Hungary yesturday couldnt post from the track 5g was really slow at points. was a tiring weekend but very enjoyable
so pictures are a bit sparse, mostly took videos and dont really want to post those up.

I missed this race but after seeing this picture looks like I didn't miss much! Highlights were rather limited, as expected.
