NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Problem is on ebay now selling one GPU at that price you're gonna get reported to the taxman by ebay and probably have to pay your dues :D

I tried to sell my 4090FE on the members marketplace and didn't even get one reply.

They are going for like £1500 on Ebay

If 3 figure sum then i am sure you would get replies. That is what they are worth realistically and people on here know that.

But unfortunately to many uninformed people willing to pay silly prices and nvidia did not help the situation with 5000 series where the only card better costs silly moneys.

Has Ebay improved ?, heard some horror stories that people have sold perfectly good cards and some one buys it and tries to over clock it and screws the card up then complains that they want their money back. Sold my 3090 to CEX so no come backs. Yes I lost money but I really didnt have time for the hassle.
I got a 5090 now so will be looking to sell my 4090FE Cex is paying £9XX but Fleabay is paying a lot more not sure what I am going to do yet.

There is a small risk of getting ripped off, no more than usual though. I sold my 4090 FE months ago on eBay and it was just fine, also sold a 5080, no problems there either.

You just have to take the gamble, more money = more risk.

Sold a few gpus this year, never had an issue but I always pay extra for additional insurance to cover myself, just incase a sale goes south.

Quote of the day

It can suck sometimes, one time I sold a 1080 Ti and the buyer sent a message saying it was DOA. I thought oh no, I'm about to be ripped off, he's going to send back a bag of rice or a different dead gpu. I was in a mood for the few days it took to be sent back  . Turns out he just changed his mind and didn't want to pay for return postage (I paid), it was my card in the box and it worked fine. I relisted it and sold it to someone else.
