This Instant And Moment - 2025!

why are people terrified of rain,. even light rain...

in the 80s and 90s it never stopped people playing outside...

are we going to reach a point where they start cancelling sports evens because of a bit of rain... F! has been doing it for decades now.
Do you fancy running 12 hours in the rain? You'd get soaked through and have to carry on.

She's generally quite happy to run in the rain -- she has to be if you want to run when you live where we live! -- but the problem with running really long distance in heavy rain is that your shoes and socks get soaked and that makes blistering and other damage much worse and wet clothes chafe more.

She did 110km in the end, which is a little short of her target of three marathon distances in the 24hrs but conditions were truly awful.

Back in training tonight after over a month off. The usual nerves before going in, but I had a great time and didn't get injured.

Did have a "flow roll" with an enormous beginner who was scrapping like a mad dog. Heh, that's when you realise you're not new anymore- you take a more measured approach.

A bold assumption. You might be on your last day.

Yes, true

I know second hand how life can just end

On a more positive note, the work bee farm which sits on our office roof , has produced its honey, we have all had a jar of honey from the yield, and im now eating the honey on some toast. Its quite nice

My Sonos speakers kept on having connectivity issues. I decided to reset them and reconnect as fresh, I did 2 in about half an hour and then proceeded to spend over 4 hours, across 2 days and nearly 2 hours with Sonos support (who offered no new ideas) to get them working. Why did it not work? It needed a software update that refused to install. It eventually started getting further down the path but still took 3 more reset attempts to get it to install.

It's now working and I am reminded of why I like them but 'Smart' tech is really testing my patience lately. My Nest thermostat is EoL and would need replacing by October and I am seriously considering whether to bother with their Tado X offer.

I have always had this feeling that my sub doesn't sound as good ever since I changed from my Sony AVR to Denon during Covid, I did the Audezey room scan balance thing a few times, each time I can hear the sub rumble when it's its turn so I left it as is.

Last night I went into the manual settings....did the cross over manually (80hz) and the same on the sub and then changed a setting from LFE to LFE+Main and BOOM, the difference is like I have my sub back. It even rumble now during stereo music.

Listening to the cicadas whilst sipping a freddo espresso and doing some work is actually bliss. It's very relaxing but strangely helps me focus. But I'm tempted by siesta.... You know live like the locals :D

Trying to summon the energy to finish moving some electrical components from one case to another. It's a little safer when there's components with 334Vdc open to accidental contact.

Think I need a coffee.
