——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

Also... if you're playing BF on PC with mouse and keyboard and you're losing to a bloke sat on his sofa, playing BF on a controller using his thumbs then aim assist is the least of your worries.

Controller Players have gone a little daft these days though I must admit, with the era of Fortnight and Warzone more often than not they have a Monitor Setup with Thumb-stick Extensions, all that jazz!

I noticed so many PC Players showing up in lobbies on MW3 as Controller Input but were clearly using XIM with M&KB + Aim Assist and all sorts of Anti Recoil Scripts on big LMG’s just beaming people!

Thankfully, unlike in COD, devices such as XIM don’t play anywhere near as nicely with Battlefield’s and hinder more than give an advantage.

Please let the heli controlls be good just like BF2/3/4 and not dumbed down please please please :D

BF4 helis are pretty dumbed down though personally I prefer it that way as jumping between different modes on foot, armoured vehicle and helis if they have too sim like implementation just turns into a chore rather than fun. Jets are a little more complicated but tend to be a bit more isolated from the main gameplay loop - you are much less likely to be jumping in and out of them from other forms of transport - though I have done mid air jet to heli before heh.

I've noticed this in the most recent cod. I get destroyed by console/controller players because lots of them are cheating, so I turn off cross play and it's much better

Console players cheating, over PC ones? That's a first.

Great, that it is out in OCt, I will have a lot of free time to play it. Let see how geforce now handles it :D:D:D:D:D

I think when people talk about cheating on console their talking about things like Xim, Strike Pack and Cronus Zen. Things that take your inputs and make the guns have no recoil and the likes.

surely you have this the wrong way around mate?

I'm serious lol, every second lobby I see people playing with a controllers and I get destroyed by them, then I switch to PC only non controller lobbies and I do much better

As per above, people are not actually playing with controllers, they using mouse but trick the game into thinking it's controller so they get free aimbot and then on top you can also devices that remove recoil, make guns fire faster etc

And how prevalent do you think this issue is? Do you genuinely think that cheating on console is so rampant that every SECOND lobby you get into someone is cheating?

Insane. I honestly cannot get my head around how deluded people have become about general skill levels in FPS games. This isn't 2006 anymore, more people are decent at games now.

Noticed in the gfx settings you can now display the performance overlay with a switch rather than typing the command into the console. Nice addition.

Handy for sure but id imagine most will buy on steam and use the steam fps counter which is a lot cleaner.

Don't have to worry about aim assist in a vehicle

I think that's just skill based matchmaking. It works 'best' with the largest pool of players so cutting out consoles (and therefore the largest pool of players) breaks it.

I play all my co-op games with a group of players but to be honest, its actually pretty rare that we reliably get more than 4 of us online at the same time, 4 is probably fine for us
since discord came along well even teamspeak many people play in groups of more than 4. many comp games are 6v6 for eg. ive mostly played battlefield unless soloing it with more than 4 everytime. i guess its just who you play with really. the party size does matter though . shouldnt be limited to 4.

Outside of MMOs and grand strategy games, I cant even remember the last game I played with more than 4 of my friends :)
