Jurassic World Rebirth "Scarlett Johansson" woof

Absolutely terrible - 1/10

Went to the cinema for the first time in yearssss to watch it a month ago, and instantly regretted it when it was finished. Whoever thought it was a good idea to make the dinosaurs look like aliens should be fired.

Literally went home and watched the original JP on Prime, an actual proper movie, the difference is crazy.

Watched this last night. It was better than I feared it might be, miles above Dominion but mainly visuals over plot.
Why were the dinosaurs so ridiculously oversized though?

Yeah, I guess in universe it makes sense, with the whole "people got bored of them" angle but it really ruined my immersion.
I did, however, turn to my wife and say that I really wished I'd taken up a career as a location scout. The scenery was glorious.

There's multiple times where it's incredible obvious that it's a blue screen. The edging around the characters is really obvious and the background blur is extreme. The Cgi on the close up dinosaurs was good but the island was god awful.

At least it had a Rancor.

Yeah normally I don't notice CGI xxx screen but I did noticed it on many scenes and fringing around actors or helicopters made it very obvious.

Could definitely spot the low quality CGI, especially on the wider scenes. Such a boring movie; they could do so much better with the franchise.

Same didn't think it was as bad as some made out. Definitely better than Dominion.
100%

As for the CGI it was very high quality and a lot of time and effort was put in to it. When people say the CGI was bad I really dont think they are using the right wording or understanding how much work goes in to film making.

The background when they were standing watching the mega diplodocus style dinosaurs was laughably bad. The main problem was the plot, having to collect a water / earth / air dinosaur like were in bloody Pokémon. The ending also with the D-Rex was ridiculously dull, reminded me of that dumb baby Ripley alien, which isn’t ideal for a Jurassic Park movie.

Gotta catch 'em all!

Mixed bag for me, some parts of it look great but others look super cheap even down to the sets like the cliff rocks look like cheap props.

I think we all love the original score for JP but the constant usage in this felt more like nostalgia bait than doing something new.

It's better than the last few recent films but still lacks compared to the original.
