Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

Hojlund is available.....they might manage to land him ;)
I think at the right club he might turn out okay - certainly better than that nutter Jackson. Expectations/pressure at Newcastle wouldnt be anywhere near the level the lad has to endure at Utd,

Newcastle should look at him really - seems clear they arent getting anyone else but the likes of Hojlund etc. After Howe came out and talked about attitude etc - cant see him and Isak kissing and making up. Probably happy just to take the salary without all that hassle of running about a couple of times a week.

What a transfer window for Utd. If they can sell a few of the remaining "bomb squad" for reasonable fee's, maybe there's a chance of Baleba ;)

I said earlier in the thread that I'm not keen on Sesko, although happy to be proven wrong. Saying that, if the rumours that Jackson was our alternative target, I would obviously rather have Sesko. To be fair, I would rather get kicked square in the nads than have Jackson play for us.

Edit: I'll be happy with this window if we ship out Sancho and Garnacho, their attitude stinks. Clearly I would prefer Antony to find another club but even if something doesn't materialise, his wages aren't Sancho levels and he doesn't appear to be a bad influence in the changing room.

One thing I notice with Rasmus Højlund is he doesn't win many physical duels, despite being 6'2. I am not sure if he is weaker physically or just can't get in front of defenders for crosses. He looks like he tries hard enough, always look like he just came out of a sauna after 10mins on the pitch.

I am hoping Sesko would be better on that respect, actually win some physical duels up front.

When you look at Hojlund, he appears to have the physique for those duels. It’s very strange.

Skysports last night, Villa have set their price for Watkins, if nobody matches the asking price he stays at Vlla, as is their right, same for Guehi at Palace and Wissa at Brentford. However because Liverpool want Isak, Newcastle should lower their asking price to a more reasonable figure.

There's a slight difference in that Isak apparently said he wanted to leave last year and he also wants to join Liverpool.

I can't imagine that Watkins has said he wants to move, let alone has his heart set on a certain club. Newcastle don't need to lower their asking price, but they do need to consider the potential consequences of holding onto a player who doesn't want to be there for a year.

Seeing posts on Twitter/X that Sesko has foregone some of his salary to make move to Utd and that his agency has waived some of its fee as well? Sesko could have earned more at Newcastle apparently? Interesting if true. Shows he isn't chasing a mega-pay packet, unless he expects to get annual pay rises that give him the money he could have had back?
