My 1st Gaming PC: Good enough for BF6?

Update:
I cleaned my CPU & heatsink (I think that’s what it’s called, the part of the cooler that connects to the CPU) with isopropyl & reapplied the thermal paste. Put more on this time. The paste I used came with my Peerless Assassin fan. I think first time around I hadn’t actually connected the cooler to the CPU properly. It was very fiddly to install. I screwed them in much tighter this time, first time around was finger tight, but as the screws are spring loaded I think you can twist them pretty till they’re nice & tight.

Managed to get the RAM clipped in fully so I wired it all up again. And hurrah! The boot screen came up on my monitor.

I’m waiting on a new case to arrive to replace the one I’ve got (Antec CX600) as I can’t seem to get the GPU to line up with the PCIE slots on the rear of the case. I’ve been recommended a Corsair one.

Once that arrives I should be up & running.

Thanks to all of you that have helped me. I’ve learned a lot and I really appreciate it. Cheers

This is your first build right?

Just FYI: make sure you have removed all the blanking plates from the case necessary to fit the graphics card. If you leave one in place (e.g. the second of 2 with a double slot cooler) you'll struggle to get it aligned correctly because the remaining plate will push the card out.

A less likely issue is that the motherboard isn't aligned on the standoffs.

Just in case you're trying to put the GPU in the bottom slot, GPU goes in the top slot.

When you install bf6 use the steam version not the EA app version btw, big performance diff for some reason.
