Have to say, I'm cautiously optimistic. At least, this is the best transfer window I think we've had in a long time.

No buying mega-expensive stars at the end of their career.
Buying proven Premier League players at a good age
No massive transfer fees for foreign players that might not handle the premier.
No just buying players the manager has worked with.
Not getting bent over on transfer fees, they all seem pretty fair for the quality.

Even if we didn't get anyone else after Sesko, I'd be pretty content with our business this summer, as long as we offload Garnacho and Antony.

I could be wrong but I think we desperately need a reliable 1st choice keeper along with a cm - Onana is going to cost us points but possibly worse, confidence. Especially if he decides to throw a couple in his own net early season.
The football gods are listening. We're rumoured to be interested in Donnaruma. Yesterday it was Chelsea, so who knows if it's just not an agent stirring the pot to get higher bids.

I won't lie, and I know things could still continue to be bad, but I really like our intent with the signings so far.

Two tried and tested high quality attackers from the league, and then one of the most highly rated young (but still experienced) strikers in Europe.

You can't say fairer than that. The focus now does seem to be on a midfielder who can sit alongside Bruno, and probably a goalkeeper if one became available.

The direction of the club in terms of the squad feels more aligned with the fans than it has a for a long time.

Here's hoping...

Looks great.

They also do seem to be trying to push ahead with the stadium build, although there's a dispute ongoing with the company that own the freight place next door. But it is currently on track.
It’s a huge dispute too. I think the company believe it’s £350m difference in price!

I watched this earlier and it's worth a look.
Like many I'm hardly Maguire's biggest fan but I totally respect him as a professional and the way he battled back from being dropped, losing the captaincy to arguably being one of our best players last season (ok it's low bar!). Rio strikes a good rapport with him and the lad gives a very frank and honest view on his time at the club.

Good interview. He's always had the best of intentions, just not quite been the level of defender that would get into those upper echalons like a Vidic, Ferdinand or Varane. Mental resilience of an ox though.
Interesting comments about Ole era too, Adam will be pleased! :)

Yep. Maguire has always worked hard for United and done his best. Hes just not the defender we thought we were getting for the money paid. A stark stark contrast to the likes of Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho albeit Garnacho is still young and might mature.

With the new signings the biggest weak spot by far is now definitely the keeper, If utd could get the PSG keeper, in my opinion that would seal an awesome transfer window. I would prioritise that over a DM, especially given the money that Brighton are looking.

Nah, keeper isn't that bad for our current ambitions. Donnaruma also has some clangers in his locker. We made a massive mistake by signing a GK off the back of an exceptional CL final performance. Doing the same again but with an even more expensive keeper would be madness.

We need a midfielder far more. You can control and dominate games with a weak keeper. You can't dominate and control games with a weak central midfield. Even if Onana loses us some games this coming season (which he almost certainly will), it matters far more that we progress as a team unit than it does getting 1 higher place in the final table.
