I don't get this whole "Garnacho is exciting" thing. The only thing exciting about him is his desire to attack, but his actual output in terms of goals and assists are poor because he can't finish his dinner and has poor decision making so runs in corridors.

Add on top of that his petulance and his baggage (his brother), he's better off being sold for his sake and the clubs.

I've also lost count the number of times he started a game and failed to do anything, further reinforcing the belief he only had an impact from the bench.

Hes a player who is exciting to watch regardless of his end product being weak. And yes, hes the same as a lot of United players who are developing but not there yet. They look much better when they are against tired legs and they have that little edge. You start them the week after and they fail to do anything.

We really need to get away from this idea that "player X only wants clubs Y" though. I don't care if he really wants Chelsea and doesn't want to go anywhere else. If Chelsea won't pay what we want then he stays.

I don't see any value in an attacking player looking exciting but having poor G+A stats. For me, he's an Argentine Aaron Lennon. I think he has the same career trajectory as Januzaj as things currently stand, i.e. a player with some capability and promise, but is unlikely to step on.

Garnacho’s biggest problem is he thinks he’s far better than he actually is. If he accepted that he’s a decent but not amazing player he’d be far better for it.

He’s exactly the type of player Chelsea don’t need but for whatever reason the type of player they keep signing.
Well Baz.

I will stick to my point now, however selfish.

What has been a misrebale couple of years, the lad didn't care and was genuinely exciting to see.

I can't put that to any other player tbh.

Amad yeh, great. But Nacho was a player I looked forward to seeing.

My original thoughts on this are, how are we letting go a player like this?

Muppet on social media yada yada. That could be managed right?

Anyways, transfer thread so will not comment any further about one player.

Looks like he is off.

And a few were moaning about him staying.

Only genuinely exciting player for United last season.

Sorry to see him go.
Yeah, I loved seeing the selfish guy not passing it and taking stupid attempts on goal. ‘Exciting’ isn’t what I’d call him, but each to his own!

Yep.

The most "boring" player I have seen

Good news if true, in a World Cup year he’s not going to sit and sulk

If he didn't play a minute this year he would still be in their WC squad. I doubt he will down tools but his inclusion in the Sweden squad is guaranteed.

He won’t, he will act all billy big ******** until the window closes and then toe the line afterwards, then earn his move to a big club next season

A good move if Newcastle can make it work. Agree to sell him next year when they have nailed down a replacement without everyone trying to pull their pants down as they know they have 100m+ to spend.

Not sure it works like that. If everyone knows you are going to sell your star player for £100m+ next summer they aren't going to deal with you like you aren't...

Also a bit of a gamble.. he has a poor season.. really can't be bothered to play for a club that won't give him what he wants.. (and yes I know it's childish pentulance.. there are very few prem level strikers that aren't up their own **ses) ... Sweden will pick him anyway, if he plays at all next season.. so after a 8-9 goal season.. is he still worth north of 100m?... it's an interesting gamble..

Also clubs could just move onto some one else, who’s to say demand will be same in Isak in 12 months time.

If reports are true it’s only us in for him so not like he has tons of options even now
