Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

Also clubs could just move onto some one else, who’s to say demand will be same in Isak in 12 months time.

If reports are true it’s only us in for him so not like he has tons of options even now
More would be in if he wasn’t so expensive.

Do you think that would still be true if Liverpool have an unlikely slump and City won the title by 20 points and came in for him? Either way, quite simply this is the fee and Liverpool haven't offered it. Pay the money or move on.

Exactly this, they have used their mouthpieces on twitter and sky to unsettle his camp and turn heads and then came in with a lowball offer, pay the money or **** off

as much as I’d like Isak I won’t be too arsed if we don’t get him anyway. I’d much rather we got a centre back in as I’ve said many times

I don’t think Isak is £150m, I’d not want to be spending more than what we spent on Wirtz tbh.

If he comes of course he is a world class player and in theory would last us multiple seasons so I’d be happy too.

Before this Isak drama and Newcastle scrambling to see if a replacement could be found and all the chaos if you told me Newcastle was finally signing A right winger and a RCB I would have been over the moon.

Elenga and Thiaw are excellent signings and they will be overlooked because Liverpool have tapped up Isak!

This is all from an outside point of view, i'm certainly not a Liverpool or a Newcastle fan...

If it was so easy to unsettle a player with a lowball offer, it would be happening left right and centre, clubs aren't stupid.. If Isak was happy to stay, even while looking for a move, then nothing would have "unsettled" him...

Unfortunately it looks from the outside as if he's unhappy irrespective of any external offer... and it's possibly because of the lack of a new "top tier" contract last year?.. understandable from a Newcastle point of view if you have a wage structure..

Really don't like to see it from a player, but don't see how this is in any way Liverpool's fault.. they bid what they think the player is worth to them.. (probably on the low side of that valuation, but certainly not low ball!)..

It feels as though Newcastle would be better moving on from Isak, pointless saying our player is worth 150m, when no club in the world (other than maybe one of the Saudi clubs!) is ever going to bid that.. and if you hold on to him then his value could well go down, given his apparent attitude, and if he downs tools then his value will plummet anyway...

Feel sorry for Newcastle as a club, they have scummy owners, not the only club to have that, but they have just had a superb season, and were looking to push on a compete.. all this Isak stuff has just put a massive dampenner on their season..

I guess we will find out in the next few weeks whats actually going to happen, but when a club and a player fall out neither ever really end up winning.. as it looks poor from both sides...

It all leads and started with the contract that was supposed to be signed last year. Apparently he was ****** off from that moment and I didn't blame him for being annoyed then.

However his behaviour this summer ain't great, he's been told if the offer isn't high enough you won't be going anywhere and now he's threw his toys out the pram.

So finally Nunez has left. I think a lot of fans wanted him to succeed, but he just didn't make it due to his consistency even though I remember seeing him play us the year before we signed him and I think he scored a couple against us. Maybe the step up was a little too much, but I do think he's going to be a well paid big fish in a small pond over in Saudi.

Yeah, Madrid is where a lot of players want to end up and where the ones that do very rarely want to leave. No other club is comparable to them in that regard. Bayern, Liverpool, Man U. Even Barcalona. They all lose players to Madrid over time. There's a food chain and Madrid are top of it.

Not all players do though. Suarez for instance and for his own personal reasons always wanted to play for Barcelona. A lot of Dutch used to want to because of Cruyff. There is a food chain though and it takes an an awful lot to disrupt or change it. Man City have, but it's only temporary and if their owners are ever stopped being able to cheat they'll be back in div 1. No-one will care. No player's dream is to play for them and it won't ever be.

Clubs would do well to realise and be aware of where they are in that food chain and act accordingly. It helps oil their own wheels. Buy players and sell them on, like we all do.
