Charity Shield 2025 - 3pm - 10/8/25

I reckon both will go. I might be wrong but its not every day that as a Palace player, a top 4 team comes for you, I dont think either Guehi or Eze (particularly Eze) will turn down a move to a top 4 team at this point in time and I dont think winning a charity shield will change what they might have been thinking last week.

I think Guehi will play down his contract and join someone on a free next year.

I think Arsenal will cheap out on Eze and he will stay until at least Christmas.

If I was either of them, I'd be pushing for the exit to Liverpool and Arsenal respectively, both should be challenging for the title (which Palace wont be) and both will be in the Champions League next year and beyond, which Palace wont be. In terms of footballing career, its the wise move to make, but we'll see, only a few more weeks of the transfer window to go but my expectation is that neither will be in Palace shirts by Sept :)

Guehi has been linked with Real Madrid. It isn't like I am suggesting he signs a new contract. That is unlikely to happen.

A move next season will mean more money for him and Real Madrid means trophies are pretty much assured.

With regards Eze, Palace don't need to sell him and won't sell him unless they get an offer they are happy with.

I think that’s why Salah stayed on in hope he had one magic moment cause for me could have subbed him off as was mostly useless today
Was an odd game in terms of Salah, its not just that he played poorly, missed a sitter and then skyed a penalty, he's had the odd game like that before, its more like for the whole match he didnt seem to be clicking with the other players. Wirtz, Kerkez, Frimpong, Szobo, Ekitike, Gakpo etc, they were all knocking it about to each other as if they'd been playing together for seasons, Salah, bizarrely actually looked like HE was the new signing, unsure of what position to be in and where to play the ball to etc. Its ironic really that when you look at the match and its key moments, probably our worst two players on the day were VVD and Salah.

Real have Rudiger, Asencio, Tchouameni and recently bought Huijsen, and have also been linked with Konate themselves, I dont see Guehi going there compared to joining Liverpool where he would almost certainly be first choice alongside VVD

I agree with that he certainly looked more lost than anything. Be interesting to see how this pans out long term

I'd rather we sold him for a decent fee this summer but I just think he is going to run down his contract. We will see when the window closes.

I think it depends on the outcome of your cas appeal myself, get the el and you'll happily let him run his contract down, get ec and he's off
