Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

I'll miss the mad *******. He'll score 50 goals in Saudi and then end up back in Europe and he'll find somewhere where things will click for him. Last season he was little more than a passenger for us as he was completely the opposite of what Slot wants in a forward but while he was frustrating, under Klopp he was somebody that was always in the game for us, always causing havoc. He was a ball of energy, always running, creating chances just for him to miss them.
Exactly this, they have used their mouthpieces on twitter and sky to unsettle his camp and turn heads and then came in with a lowball offer, pay the money or **** off
You talking about Wissa and Newcastle?

This stuff about Liverpool unsettling Isak is laughable. Liverpool making an offer hasn't unsettled him, Isak wanting to leave is the issue Newcastle have. You might not want to believe this after telling us for 6 months how Isak wouldn't push for a move to Liverpool (or Arsenal) and would wait a year to join Real or Barca but Isak wants to leave Newcastle for Liverpool. Isak joined Newcastle to further his career and now he wants to leave you to further his career. He's got a chance to join a bigger club that will give him a far greater opportunity to win major titles and will also pay him more too and he wants to take it.

Players wanting to leave happens to almost all clubs at some point or another and clubs have to prepare for and deal with these situations as best they can. Unfortunately for you, Newcastle have made an absolute pigs ear of this. They've neither been able to convince the player to give them more time (there are some reports that Isak made it clear sometime ago he wanted to leave in the summer) nor have they been able to properly plan for his departure and now face a choice of keeping a player that's made it clear that he doesn't want to be at the club or letting him go without a suitable replacement. You can blame Liverpool all you like but Newcastle should have been prepared for something that many people would have told you was pretty inevitable.

Always struck me as a massive confidence player who needs time on the pitch and a manager that wants him, loves him and gives him belief and confidence. Klopp gave that to him. Slot never did. I'm not sure he even could or can. I'll miss him too as even when he knew Slot didn't want him or rate him he didn't down tools or go into a huff, he knuckled down and always gave 100% on the pitch. As you said, he'll end up somewhere where the manager will give him that belief and he'll be a 25+ goal a season Striker. Often thought somewhere like Atletico under Simeone would be ideal.

Can the Saudi's loan him to Newcastle if Newcastle agreed to pay a pound of his wages? Surely those loopholes have been closed?
As in the takeover they rushed in new rules as soon as the PIF purchased a few of the Saudi clubs and started to buy players from across Europe. An example was the reduced fee we got for Maxi.

If Isak does stay and Newcastle transfer window ends up looking like the below then I would be extremely happy.

In
GK Ramsdale loan with option
RCB Thiaw (medical booked)
RW Elanga
CF Wissa (Skysports says it close)
LW Seung (doesn’t look out of place in the friendlys but not sure if he goes out on loan)

Still leaves us short in the middle. I believe we are after a more experienced player.

Paqueta‬ if all his legal problems are sorted would be well worth the punt. Could also solve our creative problem for Low block!

Out

Dubs
Longstaff
Wilson
Greek keeper heading out on loan.
J.Lewis
Hayden

If Isak does go. Well you can’t replace what Isak brings to the camp so you would have to replace him with a few players.

Which makes the Wissa deal important. We sign Wissa we won’t be try and sign a player like Watkins because of age. It will be one of the two.

Wissa/Watkins would be a great alongside Aghehowa for example.

Hope he is back in Europe soon as Saudi league is ********
Only a 3year contract, with luck he scores a hatful gets his confidence up and comes back to a proper league. Loved the mad *******. Wish he had gone elsewhere mind you.

Oh and the cb links are building, so you should be happy

That list if "in's" though - everyone of em bang average at best, even Wissa but if you are happy with it then thats the main thing I guess.

Real have Rudiger, Asencio, Tchouameni and recently bought Huijsen, and have also been linked with Konate themselves, I dont see Guehi going there compared to joining Liverpool where he would almost certainly be first choice alongside VVD
At best he'd be competing with Konate and cover for VVD - he's not going to be first choice for us or we'd have signed him by now.

Konate wont be around in a years time, so Guehi can be first choice then, in the meantime he can share the role with Konate (if Konate is even still here this season that is)

I don't think it's a given that Konate will leave at the end of the season (there's been numerous reports lately that talks over his deal are progressing) but regardless, I don't see Guehi being first choice even in the longer term. If the club saw him as somebody that was a first choice CB, whether now or in 12 months, then the deal would have been done by now. Instead it looks like he's seen as a relatively cheap, versatile CB that doesn't take up a non homegrown spot in the squad.
