If you put a 360mm aio in the front of that case it reduces the max GPU length to 300mm but the arctic has a 11mm thicker radiator than the standard 27mm on most aio so effectively 289mm.

The the asrock 9070xt is 298mm in length so you need to change something .

Could save £40 if you swap the PSU to this .

If you not fussed about usb4 then look at the b850 motherboards to save money th n you up the CPU to a 9800x3d with the changes advised

You could shuffle things around a bit and get a 9800X3D setup with a larger NvME for a good deal less money.

White tax is doing a number on you GPU wise but there's not much you can do about that.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,749.86 (includes delivery: £11.98)

As mentioned, unless you really need USB4 you gain nothing from an expensive X870 over a B850.

Forgot to check the fitment of cooler. to play it safe ill probably swap it for just a 240mm rad for top mounting it

and something thats futureproof for upgradeability for next 4-6 years
I'd recommend that you buy only 1 SSD (2TB) because this config would only leave 1 slot free on that board.

I know cases and fans are personal choice/aesthetics and all that, but this could be done a lot cheaper.

These cases have enough stock fan cooling included/bundled for most builds and the peerless assassin is plenty sufficient for the CPU.

I'd suggest going with at least 48GB for a long-term build, preferably 64GB. It is true that you can theoretically just add more memory later, but user experiences with running 4 sticks have not been great.

Few things have come up so only getting back to this thread now (Case and Fans are being decided upon for looks/praticatility) ( O11D Mini V2 is the current Option)

Moved away from ASROCK as seen the recent CPU socket burning incidents.

Would have like to get Platinum PSU but seems that there is a lack of White PSU

Put that AIO in the bin and go back to a Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro, get a normal B850, and not a scene tax one, there are grey/white MSI's available for £160-180 IIRC, with Wifi7/PCI-E 5.0 etc.
Then use the bonus money you've saved to upgrade anything else you fancy, like going to a 9070/9070XT if funds allow :)

notwithstanding you have 2x £180 power supplies, bringing down your total build cost to an actual £1443...is still absolutely poor value to only have a 9600x and a 9060XT 16GB
IMHO, you're spending a lot on parts that don't matter once you hit that performance ceiling (the most offending components: psu, cl28 ram, cooler)

here's a proper build for the actual budget :P

Much better HSF/higher end GPU. I don't normally care much about that sort of thing but it's a legitimate improvement for not a lot of money.

Just done a white build (mostly) for a friend.

White fractal north
9800x3d
X850 gigabyte aurous wifi7 ice
Crucial overclocking pro 6000mhz cl36 ram
White rm750e
5 pack of white thermalright fans
White peerless assassin
Lexar eq790 2tb nvme
...and a black zotoc solid oc 5080

Came in around 2k

Where did you get that passive CPU HSF from? Is it camo?

Jokes aside, nice choice!

I'm not sure if it needs reseating or it's just because they had the heating in the house set to 45° (was seriously nearly sweating just sat down) but the pa120 wasn't doing as good a job as I would have hoped on the 9800x3d and hitting thermal throttle in OCCT..
