Gah, I've photographed it with the Halfords tag on too
I ordered the Draper one at about 4pm as soon as I snapped the old one. I went to Halfords the next morning to get upgraded wheel sockets.
TBF I don't intend to force the adapter again, it's ⅜ male and I used a breaker bar on wheel nuts.
Thats my QNAP TVS-682, which I've had since 2020. It's got an i3-7100 and 16GB of Ram. I use it for personal stuff as well as a Plex/Infuse media server.

Bought another drill chuck - that's No.9 in my collection lol. However, this one is special in that its capacity is 5 to 20mm - that's enormous and allows me to use a large drill to rough out a bore in the lathe and remove material quickly. The 20mm solid carbide 3-flute core drill in the second photo was unused because my largest chuck before this one (that fits the 2MT lathe tailstock) is 1/2" capacity. Bought it from Amazon US.
Maybe.. But if it is a leak I can probably* replace what needs replacing with a bit of reading ... I'm done paying garages for stuff I can do at home!

Do you ever feel like you should own a proper oldschool micrometer or caliper with a vernier scale? Or is it an entirely functional relationship where a quick reading is king?I've always been happy with Mitutoyo stuff but it certainly isn't the only decent brand. My micrometer is a prized possesion and I would hate to price one up to buy today. Incredibly accurate though, the plates on the side insulate the mic from the heat of your fingers as that will affect the readings!
Also do outside mikes like that come with a calibration piece anymore?

I have two Moore & Wright old school micrometers, one I bought when I was 15 and it's still good today. Also have dial calipers. The new Mitutoyo micrometer is more accurate, has a 1.2" opening instead of just 1" (makes a big difference) and has a rapid screw so just a few turns gets you from fully closed to fully open. My technique with the old M&W was to roll the barrel along my sleave to get it open quickly
No calibration piece as it's not required.

I'm not venting it, if it leaks out due to a leak... Unfortunately that's beyond my control ...
It’s illegal to fill a system with a leak too.
These diy kits are rubbish and a waste of money.

This arrived at the crack of dawn this morning, I was not even dressed lol! It's a Noga indicator stand - the best. The story with this is that I had ordered what I thought was this model off Ebay, the advert used the same part number and description, and from a distance of 5 feet you might be fooled. Closer examination revealed a nasty Chinese rip-off clone which was utter garbage. Apart from the description used the price was fairly close to that of the genuine item as well so no suspicions raised there. So anyway, I took one look at it then sent it back and ordered the genuine Noga item off Amazon. I thought that would be the end of the matter but no, after receiving a reminder to leave 5 star reviews for everything the seller also deducted 50% from my refund because it was now 'used'. Actually it was returned using the original packaging and you would never know it had been opened. I elevated that to Ebay customer services and got the whole refund within 10 minutes. The seller naturally got the 1 star review he deserved together with an expansive explanation of what a tw** he was for all to see.
Yup, may as well set fire to the money.
Just take it somewhere who’ll nitrogen pressure test it before anything else.

I picked up some old reclaimed wood and stripped/restained it for a table and then grabbed some colourful chairs! The lounge chairs (not staying at the table) are super comfy. More so than anything with cushions i tried. No idea how they've done it!

At 38 years old, I have decided to leave the corporate world behind, take a big risk, spend a lot of money and train to change careers.....Wish me luck!
You should probably rough that up a bit before you get on site. I know I felt hugely self conscious earlier (for about 2 minutes) when I got to a site in a shirt with basically fresh boots on.

That looks nice and cheers as I was considering buying a slab of oak or similar to cover my beer garden table I made and hadn't considered reclaimed timber similar to what you've used.
It'll probably better match the pier heads I have in the garden as well.
