Look at it another way £xxx to buy the more powerful tune. Exactly the same as getting any other car but with a detuned engine which they open up for more money but you have to make the decision when you buy it or pay a third party to remap it afterwards

They'll have a separate subscription to allow to you to start your car after they wake up for the second time during the day!

Actually though, Polestar realised the cars were capable of more after they had been on the road for a year and allowed people with dual motor versions to get an additional 50bhp or so for just under £1000
It was for the life of the car, not a subscription.
I had it, the mid-range boost was nice.
