——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

In regards to "The Grind"; it depends on what the max rank is gonna be. I can remember at launch of 2042, achieving max rank of 55 (was it 55 at the time?) was too quick/easy. I enjoy having something to aim for (better rank/level) so I'm hopeful they sort it out with 6.
Level 99 was initially the first 'max' rank - then it went to S999 - so you'd basically work all the way through S001-S999.

I think I ended up at rank S200 odd by the end of 2042 but I agree, it's nice to have something to aim for with a higher level.

It's another reason why I like to switch up which guns I use. I'll use 1 for a bit, level it up and move on to the next. Feels more rewarding that way.

Rush on Brooklyn needs a rework, the HQ spawns are way too close to the first A / B points to capture to the point last night the other team worked out the spots to keep spawn killing people spawning at HQ so no one could push out

I thought with all the chat about BF6 they must be doing something right and getting back to what battlefield games are all about.......but seems it's just another generic modern shooter. Yawn.

Playing Wake Island with 50 people in the same room on LAN was peak battlefield.

I loved Wake Island in 1942. I remember the first time I played Wake...it blew my mind. Planes, tanks, ships, infantry, all playing at the same time and it was a brilliantly laid out map. I couldnt get enough of that map, so far I've not seen a map in BF6 that has created that same cant get enough of this map feeling

And you could pilot the aircraft carriers! Doing the sneaky aircraft carrier round the island was ace, and you could man the AA guns on the deck.

It was a perfectly designed map. Even with a full server you had really meaningful options every time you spawned. You could sneak into one of the capture points on foot. Or just grab a tank and steam in.....coordination was the make or break.

There were no OP vehicles, every strategy had a counter strategy. So much fun.

Loll spawn killing, like a cod game

take away the k/d metrics and only show them in a non live menu

I'm not sure on how it could be implemented exactly but moving away from Kill/Death to Tickers for/Tickets lost or something would be great. I regularly play as a medic and the amount of people who needlessly respawn must cost so many matches.

Brings back memories. And notice when running around, the screen doesn't bounce all over the show like BF6

Well I feel that Bf6 are worse imo
Some of the reworked 2042 maps (and the ones that came with each season) were definitely better than the maps were at launch (Reclaimed and Flashpoint were both very fun from the DLC) but 2042's launch maps were genuinely awful. They were massive and had absolutely no character at all.

Discarded or Breakaway at launch - just huge open fields of ice or sand with nothing at all going on.
