Anyone here got a E92 M3? Keep looking at them but cant decide if going from an even older E46 to a not so old E92 is a wise move

Sorry should have said I don’t have a e46 m3 just a 330ci, but just fancy a v8 for some reason and I still think they look great (e92) is the rod bearing and throttle actuators a real thing as I read? If I’m buying should look for one with those done fairly recently or budget that in too? It would be a lci I’d be afterDrive one. Less raw. More power. Better noise but they are heavier. Not sure I’d be looking back vs a e92 Dct tbh.
Remap and decat transforms them, especially with DCT remap. Mines all uniballed, Eibachs on the EDC dampers and with 450hp it’s pretty well setup and been reliable over my 8yrs of ownership.
Wouldn't worry too much about TA, when they go just get some rebuild ones and easy to fix and come with lifetime warranty.Sorry should have said I don’t have a e46 m3 just a 330ci, but just fancy a v8 for some reason and I still think they look great (e92) is the rod bearing and throttle actuators a real thing as I read? Any idea who the OEM supplier is for the TPMS sensors? 2015 4 series GC
Thanks. Ordered from auto doc as they inevitably go mental in the colder weather. Might combine them with a wheel refurb and new centre caps.VDO according to this https://www.bmw-tpms.com/bmw-tpms-types-fitment
Cheers, and yeah I read about the Injector issue, swaying more towards a dealer purchase than private at least that way I'll have some form of warranty even if its only for a short whileWouldn't worry too much about TA, when they go just get some rebuild ones and easy to fix and come with lifetime warranty.
Rod bearings I've not done (owned from 32k to 70k miles) a lot are ok when removed just cars driven hard cold are the ones with issue that get put online as changed 'just in time' when who knows when the damage was done. But obviously there's an incentive for garages. Injectors is the latest scare story - sticking open and hydrolocking engine, but stick to good fuel and will be fine. LCI is relatively small on these but idrive is much more modern on the CIC vs earlier CCC system. Comp pack also has improved EDC and MDM calibration.
Here’s mine 2011 comp pack

Got a link to the ones you ordered?
The launch documentation must be full of **** then, because it has the complete opposite effect.
Managed to slightly scrape a high curb today
Tried to.wash with mit and snowfoam liquid . Then used meguiars ultimate compound a few times with pad and buff off. Then collinite collinite 476 super doublecoat wax
It's looks bit better than what it was
This is what it looks like now..any ideas on how to get it even better ? Or is it now going to.stay like that unless I get it done properly

I mean you can see the plastic so it won’t look any better unless you touched it in or had it painted.
I’d probably just touch it in with a touch up pen.
ok are they easy to use? cant say i use touch up pens, i assume i could get the official paint colour and get it from bmw .

Paint code is generally irrelevant - it’s not going to match
I’d just get one from Halfords
Super easy to use, just use enough to hide the plastic without coating it.
