Watched Ep1 and quite enjoyed it. Looking forward to Ep2 tonight.
Good to know there are dude-in-a-suit aliens. The all-cgi stuff is meh.Oddly the Xenomorph might be the worst part.
Sometimes you get too good a look at it in too well lit an environment and it's extremely obvious it's just a dude in a suit![]()
To be fair, Sigourney Weaver wasn’t onboard with the idea initially either. I watched the awesome Aliens Expanded documentary recently and she said it took her a while to accept that choice. Her main issue was that it made the Alien more relatable, as the structure was similar to something we can all understand, rather than just being more of a mystery.Scott is a bit of a spiteful bugger too, didn't like the "Alien Queen" idea that Cameron introduced in the sequel, even though it's the most sensible possible consideration to a huge ant like alien hive and was flat out awesome.
Aye, the slug things were tame, but that multi‑eyed creature, I'm out. Goodness knows what delights might be contained in the “upside‑down bulb”.Second episode was a lot weaker than the first. Still good, but hopefully things ramp up in episode 3.
The other parasites are lot more scary than the Alien so far.
I didn't recognise Ade at first so now every single time I see him, I'll be thinking of Eddie and his antics in that flat!
Peter Pan, kids that never grow old etc.The hell was the whole 'Lost Boys' thing about, utter drivel.
Yeah I got that but sending them off on a missionPeter Pan, kids that never grow old etc.
Just watched the first one and very disappointed.
The hell was the whole 'Lost Boys' thing about, utter drivel.
I'll give the second one a go but not holding much hope.
I hated this scene to be fair. It seems so out of nowhere for the way all those people were literally slaughtered by the Xeno, felt out of place. In Ep2, Alien running loose on a killing spree deviates slightly from the playbook. They actually attacked with stealth and ambush, rarely actually killing the victim but carrying them to the egg chamber to cocoon as hosts.
