Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 18th August 2025]

I'm surprised Chelsea have spent so much and not bothered to upgrade the goalkeeper.

I think VAR got that about right really...
Absolutely right, no one seems to listen to what the ref said, he ruled it out because the palace player was less than 1m from the wall when the player took the free kick

Manchester United XI: Bayindir, De Light, Yoro, Shaw, Dalot, Fernandes, Casemiro, Dorgu, Mount, Mbeumo, Cunha

Subs: Heaton, Maguire, Zirkzee, Amad, Ugarte, Heaven, Sesko, Fredricson, Mainoo

Arsenal XI: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori, Zubimendi, Rice, Odegaard, Martinelli, Saka, Gyokeres

Subs: Arrizabalaga, Mosquera, Merino, Nwaneri, Madueke, Havertz, Lewis-Skelly, Timber, Trossard

Pre-match positivity evaporates when you see that Amorim thinks, Shaw, Casemiro and Mount are the answer to defeating Arsenal at Old Trafford. Sigh.

Mount and Dorgu have been linking up nicely in pre-season. I don't think it's a terrible idea.

Replacement for Casemiro is sorely needed still though.

RIP Hojlund.

I am hoping with 1 game a week Shaw might actually be able to stay fit.

What happened to that kid we signed? He injured already? That bench doesn't look too bad actually although better not get my hopes up!

Also I knew my tactic of logging into now tv last week would work as I got a £19.99 a month offer for a year for sky sports on Friday :P.

With Casemiro, he's probably going the 'experience' route. But Shaw... he's just going to cause a goal-scoring opportunity or continue his own goal form.

Really disappointed he's not starting Sesko, I think that's weak.

Team looks pretty defensive, which I do understand to a certain extent.
