£50 isn't enough, need to increase budget. £50 will get you a speaker shaped object.

What about a used soundbar?
I have a Denon DHT S316 on my kitchen TV and it's good. I've been thinking of putting one on my PC for ages. They do come up used without the subwoofer (like mine) for not much more than £50. I think I paid £100 for mine new.

Kef Q6C center speaker in good condition. Tested and fully working, although the higher frequencies lack the usual sparkle you'd expect. Can't see any tweeter damage, maybe just a bit tired and needs replacing. Price reflects this.

Had these years ago. I liked the B&W sounds for AV. Probably fine if you pull the tweeter out with some tape.

It's scrap give it a pass.
What exactly do you mean by centre speaker? It implies you already have at least a 2.0 speaker setup, which makes it very odd for you to bring up soundbars.
As usual, you completely ignore the OPs requirement. Not helpful.
An LCR 60 for 50 quid is a solid buy. Dinged tweeters pull out easy enough.

yeah if he's got a AVR and stereo speakers, then pointless getting a soundbar all will be a downgrade.
The treble driver is trashed, so why even consider it
The one you posted is way over OPs budget, AND the listing says it doesn’t sound right, it’s spares or repair.
The B&W will go for a £50 offer, and has some minor cosmetic damage that’ll pull out with some tape.

How is Kef200 £80 "way over budget" it's not knackered like the B&W. I have the same center speaker.
Also B&W is damage, sound bad, and with poked in treble driver, it's worthless.
That Kef Q6c someone else linked to is trashed as well, with probably damaged voice coil, and good luck fixing it as it's coaxial and pain in the ass do change.

Only 80% over budget. At least it says it works unlike the Kef I thought you posted.
Cosmetically dented tweeters like that make no all difference to the sound and can be pulled out with a bit of sellotape.

How many have you had to drink?
That Kef is in another class of speaker to the B&W, and isn't trashed. £80 for that is good price, it was £700 new. Probably around 20 years old now.
B&W have an aggressive V sound to them, hard on the ear. Why buy a speaker with poked in treble driver (which will effect sound quality) to one that isn't?
I've bought several speakers, none have pushed in driver and I wouldn't recommend buying a pair with damaged drivers.
I’ve owned those B&W speakers back in the day. I had someone ding a tweeter. It didn’t make any difference to the sound, and it pulled out with a bit of sellotape and was no the worse for it.
Maybe your imaginary AV system would sound different, who knows.
For £50 a little cosmetic damage could get a decent bargain.

You're more than welcome to carry my 69kg subwoofer and I've got two of them. haha
Or he could buy the Kef which isn't damaged instead of a damaged B&W
poked in treble driver isn't "cosmetic damage"....scratches are cosmetic damage.
Only negative about the Kef 200C is the crossovers fail on them, and you get muffled audio from them due to this, and just recapping them etc. is not the fix.
My point was there are loads of good centre speakers around for £50 used, you just need to spend 5 minutes looking.

This was a very cheap 5.0 setup bought from richer sounds a while back. It's connect to a Denon X1700H and a Connected Acoustic Casub10, which I believe is a 10" 175W subwoofer.
Sadly, the Jamo centre speaker (S 81) sounds quite muffled..
Would a Q Acoustics 2000Ci be a improvement?
