Morning

I need some help.. I think my RTX5080 is hitting a bottle neck with my CPU. I dont know if its worth the gains for all the parts i have to buy to move to AM5 and say a 9700x. I play at 4k.

Anyone else made this move? is it worth it?

What resolution do you play at?
Have you used anything to monitor the performance, such as MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner - if not, get it installed and set it up properly so that you can see all the stats for everything in question, here's a rough guide to get you up and running:

Get that up and running, and post us some screenshots in different games with the overlay running, then we can help you better :)

Thank you I never knew afterburner did that. Ill take some screen shots tonight.
You are very welcome mate, I hope that it helps.
It's a bit devious when you first install it and Rivatuner - I was scratching my head a bit, when I first used it, wondering why I couldn't see half the stuff others could in their videos using it :P
Them sneaky tickboxes haha!
But FWIW, if you're running at 4K, you probably won't be bottlenecked by much, if at all, as it's basically the GPU doing all the heavy lifting at that point - well, bar the 0.1% and 1% lows; of which a newer CPU or X3D CPU, will give better performance, due to cache and the newer/faster technology :)

Ok I've tested 5 odd games three of them are showing CPU at 60 and GPU at 98. But two games don't seem to be reading the GPU percentage right e.g 40 odd percent. Is this normal?
