Purchase Timeframe:
Hoping to buy and build it ASAP

Budget:
Want to spend around £1000

Usage:
It will be used for VR via Virtual desktop for Recroom, walk about golf and Gorilla tag so
won't be too heavy on VR gaming
Also for normal PC gaming it be used for Roblox,Minecraft and GTA 6 when it comes out

Preferences:
Would love a ATX case, 1TB m2 stick,2TB HDD, 32gb of ram preb 6000mhz,
would probably want a AMD processor as they seem to be the best value for money.
not sure on graphic card but would like the build to be best for the money

Current Hardware:

no old or present computer

Peripherals:
All ready got Kb&m and monitor and a windows 11 key

Would this build be any good? I've upped the memory to 2TB
You may want to find out what AMD graphics are like with VR nowadays, because I have no idea.

If nvidia are better, I'd consider a rejig of parts to get a 5070. Though the rumoured 5070 Super 18GB would be far preferable to ~£500 for the 12GB version.

There's a CPU cooler in the box of the non-X version.

The motherboard might seem pricey, but it does have a PCI-E 5.0 graphics slot.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,087.84 (includes delivery: £11.98)

4Gb more would be better for VR, Would it be better to pay £58 more for the gen5 faster read/write speed of the 2TB or wont it make that much of a difference?
sorry I should have mentioned I was after a ATX build and not micro.

Yeah, I can understand that, but 5070 is a lot faster in terms of raw grunt.

You could swap the 5070 for a 9070 (Reaper is £500), that has 16GB, but I don't know if going AMD would be a problem.

I don't know about VR specifically, but generally for gamers they are not worth it (they shave a few seconds load time, at best) and with a low budget given your requirements I'd say the money is much better invested in the CPU or GPU.

You could substitute the B850 board for the B850 Eagle (if you want to keep PCI-E 5.0 graphics).
