what headphones do you own thread - i own dt150's :)

If anyone is interested there is currently a sale on on AliExpress and the Fiio K15 can be had delivered inc VAT for <£400.

Still waiting for stock to come in for my pre-order to be shipped. Fiio seemingly hasn't sent it out to distributors yet at least not UK ones.

Mid-August. Appeared on AliX about two weeks back.

Fascinating there haven’t been any reviews yet. The official uk distribution starts next week apparently.

less than 400? I can't find one on there for that, that's a good price. Closest I can find is 612 euros which is 530 ish pounds. If this is a UK special deal, then I'm extremely jealous! Not that I want to replace my X9, but something cheaper as a headphone amp for the bedside table, that could be streamed to, would be my next purchase. Going to try the poly unit for my Mojo 2 though, as that can be moved about.

There is a £100 off £500 coupon “BTS1818”. Then add on any coins you have and it comes down below £400. Showing £389 for me (but I am saving for Luxsin and K13 R2R).

Just bought some XM6's and they sound fantastic! My only slight gripe is that when im using it with 3.5mm AUX cable, the audio is a lot quieter than whilst using bluetooth. Not sure if its a bug but yeah find it a bit weird

According to the specs the impedance and sensitivity vary depending on whether the unit is turned on or off.

Yeah, the impedance value going from 48 (unit on) to 16 (unit off), Sensitivity 103 (unit on) to 102 (unit off) on the cable, doesn't seem like a lot, but it must be enough to stretch whatever the 3.5 socket he's plugged into. I do wonder if turning it on would help though. He might just be using a particularly low powered motherboard headphone output, and it will be the same in both modes?

Tempted to check out the K15 at the deal price but personally only really interested in the K13 R2R.

WANDLA HP is coming, they are waiting for the review sample to be returned from someone else first.

Hmmm, £356 though inc the discounts.... Why is it so tempting lol....

Edit* Plastic volume knob, no thanks!

Also no 12v trigger support, that's a big oversight, even entry level DACs/Amps have trigger sync.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Chu DSP @Raymond Lin - best £20 I've spent in a while.

Cheap and cheerful in ears. I remember the days when £20 got you some flimsy plastic in ears, they've come a long way.

@mrk that's £356 + 20% customs you have to pay though right for VAT?

I don't think you will pay customs and VAT again for Aliexpress stuff because it is already included when you buy it. I am sure it says VAT at the bottom when you check out.

I was a bit surprised because in @mrk screenshot there is a price adjustment which is what I have too and its for:

Must be seller dependent? Unless the seller sends to UK warehouse first?

I ordered my Edition XS from there and it was no Customs.....but now that you mentioned it, my Xduoo amp had VAT to pay. That was £150 (RRP £200 in the UK). So I still came away better off.

I also ordered something computer related so can't mention for £220 which didn't get caught, which was heavier and bigger than the Xduoo XA-02.

Wondering if the sellers are declaring the items as gifts or not too which sounds like a viable reason to explain this.

It depends, I think some traders on AliExpress can charge appropriate country customs VAT at checkout, others can't, so they remove their local tax to offset, and inform you. Then it's up to customs to catch it. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes the Chinese seller completely misrepresents the value of the goods sent, so you don't pay anything.

I ordered a couple of things today from Ali, not much some eartips for iems, and a mouse for my work laptop. One had VAT other had the offset.
