So in the last couple of weeks a video emerged of Michael Van Erp, commonly known as 'CyclingMikey', a notorious cycling vigilante, throwing his bike at a car.

Whilst many are fervent to blame the car because he was contravening a road sign, it doesn't detract from the criminal act committed by Van Erp.

Today, on social media, another video involving Van Erp shows a cyclist, who was recording, approach Van Erp, who immediately takes something from his pocket, an item that appears to be a small black knife. (pictured).

Are we seeing the unravelling of CyclingMikey?

I've only skimmed what happened so might not have all the information but just because there is a road closure and no entry signs doesn't mean there isn't permitted entry to residents and businesses, etc. (the signs say access only). When they closed the road through my village for water works awhile back they also placed closure signs on the single track road that bypassed it with "no through access to " signs but told us residents could use it.

Though sadly there are plenty of people who will ignore road closure signs, putting workers, etc. in danger, and only stop when they are physically unable to continue.

It's the guy that used to hang out at regent's park and stop drivers cutting a right turn or something, that's what I've seen of him.
South African accent gay guy I assume?
It wouldn't suprise me if he snapped after constantly getting himself into rage baiting/road rage situations for content.
One day someone will flip or he flips.

Oh well.

Does he have some mental health issues?
I’ve seen references to his motivation being that his dad was killed by a drunk driver while on a motorbike, but that was way back in 1991… I’m all for safety on the roads, and I wish there were more police out there to enforce the laws, but if you’re passing the time as a road vigilante over 30 years later I think you probably need some therapy.
