If we don't sell anyone with the amount we've paid out I can't see how it wouldn't be a problem, maybe not this window but in future ones. Tavares is the only outgoing one of 6 we'd have got money for.

Nah, Suarez (in quite a few ways) was a peculiar player. He always wanted to play for Barcelona, specifically for Barcelona, his childhood sweetheart (now wife) moved there with her parents (who he lived with), left him in Uruguay and his whole career was essentially a vehicle to get himself back with them.

Liverpool managed to get him to stay by persuading him that a move to Barcelona would be facilitated. Which it was. That's how you keep players happy. That's why he had his best season for us after the Arsenal bid, that's why Suarez is, to this day a red and his kids still wear Liverpool shirts.

You don't "reintegrate" them with threats, calling them liars in public and with fans calling them rats.
