Yea, I think so - it's a sound I love. At some point I'd like a more robust tube amp than the Gremlin and maybe even invest in tube rolling, but it's crazily good for the money. Maybe even something like the Xduoo TA-20 Plus could be enough for me, but that's for another time. Only thing I will say against the 600 is that I found a few tracks which were glaring and and I was relieved to take them off after a very long listening session. But I think that new pads probably add to sparkle. I probably just need some adjustment time with them.

wow not bad price for that at all, especially with the supplied cable, that's a lot of headphone for only £500, glad you made the post as it made me pull out my old Bamboo Fazor 2020s and giving them a good session tonight and really enjoying it, lovely bass, they certainly give your neck a workout though!
 
Looks like the low volume output on the DAC on the G7 pro controller was just in need of a FW update, remarkable.

LCD-5 @ £4k :o, id expect a few sexual favors included at that price, really what do they bring to the table that any other ~£500 set of headphones cant achieve. Even with a winning euromillion's ticket in my back pocket it would be hard sell!
 
in the market for some headphones, had looked at the FiiO ft1 pro but i really think id prefer to have wireless, can anyone recommend any for around the £200 price point
 
I do really like that textured black finish on the K17, not seen pics or vids of the K15 showing the same finish on the black version there? So maybe some additional cost saved there in finishing treatment even though the case and design is the same otherwise.

Fiio CEO has stated that all the info/reviews etc for K13 R2R will be public middle of September :)

Based on what ive read on headfi im getting very close to cancelling my k15 pre-order. It's seems the k17 doesn't remember what the volume was last set to when you change output modes. Add that to the fact it also doesn't remember peq profiles it seems even the most basic qol features are absent. Even the k11 remember volume levels.

Lol, first Topping with the unfinished FW of the DX5 II, now FiiO is at it with the questionable choices. I guess no wonder early reviews from both have been very much lacking.
 
After reading all this I decided to just pull the trigger on the Luxsin X9. Just ordered it, arrives tuesday. £940 delivered inc 6 year warranty. Now to sell my K11 R2R :D . Very excited!

I have a Zidoo Z2000 Pro so I know how reliable the main company behind Luxsin is.

Update:

Took the IE 300 back to the store, they've sent it to Sennheiser for inspection and take it from there. The guy at the store mentioned to me that he had another customer with the exact same issue return their IE600 earphones just one week ago. So seems like a very common issue with Sennheiser earphones
