Ok I know I can contact the land registry or local council to start with to get a definitive answer.
BUT surely someone knows the likelihood of the answer to
" who owns the ground and responsibility when it comes to a huge tree that is slowly dying and probably is a risk of falling in the wrong weather....."
They are 1930s built terrace houses if that is of any consequence and in the London borough of Havering.
I guess I'll end up trying to email someone there but don't wanna wait forever for an answer...
