*** Big Fat Weight Loss Thread ***

Been a tough couple of years in my personal life and have been drinking a lot more than usual, which saw my weight go to 100.5kg, going three digits and technically obese for the first time in my life.

Stopped drinking a month ago and the weight stopped going up but hasn't come down. And after a brief chat with the GP decided to go on Mounjaro privately which I'm barely eligible for thanks to my BMI being 30.3 right now. Took my second jab today. Lost about 1.5kg last week, probably mostly water weight but so far I've generally been eating a lot less than usual thanks to the jab.

13st 10lb this morning - been a busy couple of weeks keeping 6 kids (our 3 and our nieces & nephew) entertained. Lots of trips & meals out, so I've probably overeaten.
I typically go for sensible options, but I had a spectacular Calzone at one restaurant and then the cheesecake...

Been pretty good at home - Huel has been handy for avoiding the many, many snacks we've bought to keep the kids happy.

Monjaro price increases are concerning (7.5mg is now over £300 at my usual pharmacy), so the plan is to get the kids back to school, so Wife & I can put more time in at the gym/swimming.

I'm now 16lb away from my target weight, so discipline and good habits will be better for my wallet than relying on GLP-1...

Starting weight for me was 19st 8lbs in Jan 25 - i tried to diet and got down to 18st 11lbs in Jul 25, but then tried MJ for the first time:

14 Jul 25: 18st 11lbs; 2.5mg and start of weight loss journey.

21 Jul 25: 18st 6lbs.

28 Jul 25: 18st 2lbs.

4 Aug 25: 17st 13lbs.

11 Aug 25: 17st 11lbs; 5mg.

18 Aug 25: 17st 6lbs.

25 Aug 25, 17st 2lbs.

The price hikes prices are starting to filter out and although not 170% as predicted, they are £100 more depending who you go with. I bought x4 10mg pens pre-hike and my plan is to half dose and take the 5th dose, so my pens should last approx 9 months. That is if 5mg still works for me. This calc is awesome: https://www.vrgrowth.co.uk/mounjaro-clicks

My list of good experience providers:

Pillsorted
Getadrip
Superdrug Doctor
Farmeci
Cloud Pharmacy
Juniper:
My Juniper experience. Made my first order for 10mg on 22 Aug 25; it arrived today! (24 Aug 25). £154 for 10mg delivered. However, in my package was a set of free digital scales and a sharps bin! I am waiting for the confirmed new prices and so cancelled the plan and within 5 minutes had a confirmation email that the plan was cancelled.

Terrible provider: Dr Franks. Check their Trustpilot reviews! They screwed all their exisiting customers over and said if you want to continue with the order, you need to pay another £100, if you want a refund, you will be charged a 25% restock fee. I reported them to Trading Standards and told them so, i got a full refund, but still very shady practice from them.

I have a few referral codes, Juniper for instance are offering £125 off your first 3 orders, GetADrip 40% off etc. But i'm sure you can find these referrals on t'Net :)

Hope this helps.

Honestly I would section 75 or chargeback them if I was in that position.

Got my first pen from Superdrug. But after these hikes I'll have to shop around. I hear good things about Medicine Marketplace.

Unfortunately all my orders for larger pens were rejected, I started this too late. I could only order a couple of 5mg ones and neither have even been dispatched yet.

@HACO

I recently started using https://shotsyapp.com/ - you can put historic data into it, like i had to. It tracks:

weight loss progress (graph form)
last/due shot
Mg shots
How many shots taken
How much in your system
Injection site last used.
Other stuff.

I only use the free version and it's very handy :)

Funny enough my GP recommended this app! The android app is so buggy though.

Managed to exercise 4 days out of 7 this week including a great 52k cycle round the North Wessex Downs yesterday. Eating has been in check in the working week, but having a weekend away hasn’t been particularly helpful. Weight consistently below 90kg with a couple of high 88’s at the tail end of the week. Hoping there might be a couple more opportunities for long cycles at the weekends in the autumn, the weather has been glorious and it’s amazing to have been able to take advantage on the bike.

Awesome, my exercise has gone in the gutted recently as i've been consumed with work and sorting things following the house move. I also had friends over to visit and spent 2 days drinking and eating terribly. I then spent 2 days recovering and generally feeling awful with poor diet again.

Really need to get back into a decent routine as i'm shocked how bad i feel. On the plus side i did do a little exercise with my mates as we decided to climb a short (but steep) hill to catch the sunset at 7am after we'd been out since 11am the previous day drinking... The amount we sweated was insane and my calves still feel awful now, must've just been crying from dehydration.

Been a while since I posted, a quick check and I was 85.2kg when I last posted in June. Since then, I got as low as 83.1kg the morning I flew out for a 10 day cruise. I didn't over eat or anything, I kept loosely to my lunch and dinner pattern that I've had going (only eating breakfast if Im hungry, which I did on a few mornings) I did make ful use of the drinks package which showed. Morning after I arrived home and I weighed in at 87.8kg and it took me about a week to get back into my normal routine.

84.3kg this morning, averaging about 1.1kg loss per week 2 weeks which I'm happy with. Never really had an aim but would love to get to 75kg by Christmas
