The slow-mo is good for extra details (see below) but it does alter the whole speed element which is required for other parts (the movement done by Mikey)
My take:
- He is pushing his bike out with his left hand on the handlebar and, I presume, his other hand on the saddle (hard to tell but the slow mo seems to indicate this)
- As he moves forward, he stops to prevent the car from hitting him
- As he stops/moves back, he takes his hand off the handlebar but continues to push the bike forward using the saddle.
- The disputed "push" is likely coming from the fact that, as he lets go of the handlebars, the bike continues forward and, when hit, you can see his right hand moving forward and up.
Its the last point that's important - why did his right hand/arm act in that way. Was it because he pushed the bike using his left hand on the saddle and into the path of the car (effectively a throw), or did the movement of the bike being hit cause his hand/arm to move like that. Why did his bike continue moving forward, quite considerably, when he stopped/potentially moved back.
Given his other, well documented escapades, my feeling is the former (pushed bike into path thinking the car would stop)
