Its "nearly" here!

Samsung design language is really just copying Apple at this point.

They are making phones thinner instead of bumping up capacity, doesn't sound like this is the year they will be rolling out their solid state stuff. Guess need to reserve judgement until solid specs are leaked.

I'd say they really need to innovate this time round though, as things have been really stale since S23U. Chinese manufacturers have been giving us silicon carbon batteries, variable zoom, 1 inch sensors and even variable aperture lenses, we'll not go into charging speeds either.

60W charging, meh not much of an upgrade. If they had gone to 100W and increased the battery capacity I would have bought the S26U without thinking twice, but guess I'll stick with my S24U for another year.

The days of big changes are gone, they are highly comoditised and bump up the price every year with very little change .

OnePlus are looking good again and seems to be innovating far faster then Samsung and Google , my s25 ultra will last a long time along with my Pixel 9 Pro XL.

If you need a new phone then these will be appealing otherwise there will be little point o upgrade, especially why they are still using the same 200mp sensor.

Still running my S21 ultra from launch. Only reason I'll be getting the s26 is because the S21 stops getting updates next year. There really hasnt been any game changing updates to phones in years

Just gone from 21u to 25u, the anti glare screen is a pretty decent upgrade!

That's all though really.

They need to go back to the old era before the S20 line, they had something different and ahead of everyone else.

They need to bring back DJ Koh, a lot of people said they are not as good as apple but Now with TM Roh its a iPhone copy.

I agree with what you said about the upgrades. They really need to add Silicon carbon composite batteries at this point with 5,500 mAh - 6,000 mAh. A variable zoom would be nice, but a larger Sensor would make the biggest difference *1 inch sensors" we have had the same sensor for some time now but what I really want, better cooling my S25 get hot, which they can add without any issues is return of the BT S-Pen (I used it a lot more than I though) the S25 ultra pen not only does it not have Bluetooth it feels really cheap I want want to touch it and slight curved sides so Its comfortable to hold.
Charge I don't really care about too much, charging speed 45w is still good.
Samsungs own design, I thought after Hiring a new designer a few years ago samsung would innovate but they have gone backwards.
I think Samsung has been taking too much from apple in the wait game of of lower prices and solid testing in some areas but I feel they are fearful of batteries since the the exploding battery incident.

Samsung tends to follow Apple now for both good and bad, apple announces Titanium frame, offers it first, Apple plans a thin phone Samsung offers it,
I think the only reason I would upgrade is if they offer great discounts.

Hi,

That was an S24 Ultra, never purchased the S25 Ultra until fairly recently , photo quality has definitely improved but it's mainly in software IMO. I think they are all much for much now, PIxel 10 Pro XL looks like probably the most complete phone out there now IMO

How are you liking the S25 Ultra, has the blurred moving pictures been sorted for you. I don't take moving pictures so I never had that problem.

Are you likely to get the Pixel 10 Pro XL?

I'm thinking about the 10 Pro, I fancy a smaller phone.

I actually keep going back to the 9 Pro XL, I prefer the form factor on the curved edges and the NFC sensor placement on the s25U really annoys me. I've never had an NFC sensor that requires that level of precision (middle of the phone but I do sometimes need to wave it around) typically I find it in Tesco's and London Tube to be the most temperamental.

Its probably a waste of money moving from the 9 Pro XL to 10 Pro XL but I do see some quality differences that will make it a very complete device i.e Qi2, small battery improvements,nl SOC efficiency, better speakers etc.

Also, I seem to get genuine improvements on the Pixel devices in software over the year, Samsung never really improves that much

I agree 100% about the NFC placement on the S25 Ultra It's just so awkward I have to mess about with placement too. 9 XL just does it.

Hopefully the S26 Ultra dose a better job
