I just upgraded to a 9070XT and it voted just fine in my system. It was unstable, but a new power supply solved that. The driver contains about my system both being UEFI which it isn't. I am running my old X58/i7-920 system that has proven to be very stable.
But I just had a need to enter the bios, and it turns out this card really does not support BIOS, like at all. The bios screen is completely garbled and displays as graphics when it should be character mode. Windows 10 is working ok with the card, despite the complaint about CSM.
There was no hint I noticed that this card would be incompatible with BIOS. Upgrading to new hardware right now is bad timing, as I expect AMD to release new generation "soon" and I hate the AM5 platform for having so few PCIe lanes. Also, the new motherboard only have 4 SATA ports and I need twice that.
I don't like upgrading to something that has fewer features. I like the versatility of the PC.
Problem is some games aren't supported with older CPU's, I think Age of Empire IV needed a new CPU...so even though it was more than capable enough - hex core 3ghz, instruction set not included in the die. So games just refused to load.
