Google Pixel 10 Series (10/10 Pro/10 Pro XL/10 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 4)

In terms of the 10 Pro XL camera, I’m seeing reports that suggest it’s a downgrade on the 9PXL however, the specs are identical. Also, all the bench mark tests seem to have been carried out on the pre-release media devices and apparently, there’s a day 1 update.

Coming out the top of benchmarks was never Google's intention anyway. Tensor has always been more optimised on more regular usage (although now with a heavier push to AI). I've been ignoring benchmarks anyway since they're usually based around the chip's peak performance, once they start throttling it's a completely different experience.

Google are not pushing the tensor chip to be a CPU powerhouse. If you use your phone for benchmarking, probably more suited to a PC!

Anyone else not get the Gemini Pro? I have Google One with no addons as far as I am aware?

Phone hardware is very nice feels very solid and premium. It is a shame to put a case on it. I forgot how much of a pain it is to set up a new phone with out doing a restore. Been many years since I last done that.

5 minutes left on my restore :p

Mine is due in about 30mins. Coming from a pixel 8 pro I'm hoping to see some of the issues fixed, although looking at reviews, Google have not listened in terms of video, zooming lense shifting.

Keen to compare it to the 8pro!

I'm still torn over the Fold. Not released until October but all the trade in deals for the slab 10 on the Google site end Sept 11th :rolleyes:

Upgrading from Pixel 7 -> 10 Pro.

First Impressions;
  • Feels Solid
  • Bit thicker then I was expecting, not that it should be a surpise as the specs are published but when you have it in your hands.
  • Camera is a step up - Playing with the zoom alone and using 10x Zoom to a numberplate in the distance is pretty impressive it being readable etc
  • Does seem to get quite warm on my wireless charger - some of that maybe down to it installing all the apps as part of the transfer process
  • Feels quick browsing around various apps - hasn't really slowed down - not a gamer so not fussed about "ultimate benchmarks" just looking for phone to be usuable in day to day
Overall happy so far but only had it an hour or two - waiting for the case and screen protector arrive

Let us know what you think as I still havent quite pulled the trigger!

Surely the main thing to add with any thoughts is how much the phone will actually have cost. Because my basket says £388 iirc, and still another £124 in credit.

This phone is cheap! And I doubt beatable for the price

I saw a user think about upgrading the while family. If they will do it so will go with another phone, surely the cost will be more than double

I'm happy with the deal I got taking into account money off voucher, trade in, and store credit. But it must be said, those are some cracking deals from Voxi.
