Mine did out the box, I turned off the setting *Adaptive tones" and it is better now.

Yup I've turned this off already.
However in use and without comparison to the p8p it's not really noticeable.
Also the review guys had the new material UI. We've still got the old one here?
For example the brightness slider etc...

Although I'm in the middle of a software update, but that just a security patch.

I've had in on the P8P for a while, and it's the most fastest and smoothest update Android has ever done!
I've just had my P8P and P10XL side by side opening apps and games. The P10XL is NOTICEABLY much faster in everything, even loading some games I have installed.
I did a few quick snaps and zoomed in, the P10 is definitely picking up more details and producing some crisper images when you really zoom and check.
The whites on the 10, as you say, are shockingly bad when to put it next to the 8 pro. Nothing hardly looks white at all!!
Interesting. I've still got the old UI on my P8P and it's all upto date. I've had the new dialer recently and thats an improvement.
I was in the beta, so had it a while. It really made my 8 pro butter smooth. It's the same on the 10, it's silky smooth and a joy to use.

These issues seem to popup with Pixels (And other phones i suppose) quite a bit.
How do you know that the P8 Pro was colour accurate with the correct white point? Maybe the 10 is correct and the 8 was wrong?
This sounds like another Pixel 2 XL nightmare, that had the blue tint & the worst screen on any pixel.
Does anyone have the 10 Pro & can tell use if the screen on that is White with no Pink Tint?
The white point is fine. It's the off axis pink tint.

My OCD would be 100% everytime I used the phone.
How often do you use your phone at that angle?
I mean, normal usage with phone in hand looking at the screen you don't notice. It's just when you look at the phone from a different angle, a pink tint appears.
The photo has definitely made it look worse than it actually is in person. I'll try get a better picture in day light.
