What a weekend for Oscar, absolutely aced everything thrown at him. Lando was right there with him too, until the unfortunate mechanical failure. I do like Lando and will always support him, but I've always felt Oscar to be more deserving of the WDC, he's always seemed to have that edge. The championship is far from over, but it's certainly given Oscar some breathing room where a P2 or P3 isn't the end of the world.

Overall not a terrible race, far from the best but enough action spread across the race to keep me entertained.

Incidents aside it was a bit of a boring race. Could have been interesting if the rain came to mix things up a bit.

Well done to Hadjar for just keeping it clean and consistent, no one was expecting him to maintain that place, took a leaf out of Russell's playbook of just staying in the shadow and benefiting from other people's miss fortune.

Gonna be a tough stretch for Norris to bridge that gap now, not a good day for the championship race

JV being very critical of Kimi!

Stroll now ahead of Alonso on points as well as propping up the UK carbon fibre industry.
With Lewis doing his best to emulate Stroll.
The championship is far from over yet and I'd hate it to be a fake WDC win just because of DNF's. But it is what it is and any of the McLaren drivers deserve it equally, more so with Norris as the underdog now..

I don't think you can call Norris the underdog - he's the more experienced driver with a shortage on talent. If he wins it'll be purely down to luck.

He appears to be in this forum, plus having experience is nothing to with it and you're only citing an opinion on his talent, which he has proven to have many, many times.
Being a underdog means being expected to lose https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underdog thus you're confirming I'm applying the correct usage of the term.

Got to feel so sorry for Lando!

Rookie mistake by Lewis, but least he’s not ramming people like Schumacher did on his return….

Kudos to Hadjar - deserved podium!

Just caught the highlights and it seems quite a few drivers forgot how to drive over the break.

I don’t understand the penalty for Sainz though I guess it sticks to F1’s the car ahead can do whatever it wants rule. Hopefully there’s some clarification or even cancelling of the penalty.

A great move from LeClerc but surprised there was no mention of his block when Russell tried to come back on him.

And Kimi? What was that? He’s showed some promise earlier in the season and easier to forgive his mistakes as a rookie. But not sure if he’s been found wanting? or struggling with the pressure?

A shame for Norris too. While the championship isn’t over, given how equal they’ve been. It’s going to be difficult to overhaul Piastri’s lead without some bad luck befalling Piastri.
