I said at the time, and I stand by it, that I don't know why we've signed him, wonderful player though he is. He's an out and out number 10, and without a more defensive midfield behind him than we have, it'll just contribute to us lacking control in the middle of the park. Szoboszlai worked in that role as he has the physicality and defensive skills to work back and bomb on. Wirtz is better at what he does, but what he does is far more limited. I think it's a worry.

Might be, but (a) it's already pretty technical with Macca and Grav and you can't go over the top at the cost of physicality and control, and (b) if that's what he does want, I think he's wrong, and it's pretty clearly imbalanced the team.

Yep. It's difference in personal philosophy basically. I don't disagree, especially in the PL, that physicality can get on top of technical players in this league.

I was surprised there was so much resistance to his signing. He's a really fast, tricky, direct winger. Yes, he's got bits to learn in relation to his final ball, but he's pretty young. He's a really good rotation option for you.
 
Frustrating performance, just can't do anything been very poor. Frustrating from Arsenal too, so much falling over in the box. Merino and Timber should be embarrassed asking for pens. Timber just sat down and wanted a pen
 
Created the openings we’ve wanted soaking up pressure and the passes have just been rancid, Salah and Szobo had clear opportunities to put someone through. We’re still not very good though, a lot to improve

Fair amount of diving going on here and the only yellow awarded is wild, par for the bridesmaids men though
