Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th - 31st August 2025]

Yeah I think Liverpool sadly walk it this year, looking like a dull season league wise at the top. I mean we all thought that before a ball was kicked anyway so it's no surprise. They were already dominant and now spent a fortune on top.
Arsenal are/should be the favs. Their overall squad depth is the best in the league.

Could possibly change tomorrow depending on any signings for other teams

Same thing as last year, Arsenal seem reluctant to risk losing to win.

I think this seasons champions will be a surprise package maybe Chelsea?
Isn't that also quite typical in the league now, it's all the same boring "play it out the back" and not shoot from distance etc. Numbers game.

Chelsea have a lot of depth but they still have a terrible keeper and I'm not sure their CB's are that great.

Sanchez is not terrible; Onana is terrible and by that I mean regularly not saving shots that decent keepers should save not just errors that lead to goals

Sanchez did make too many costly errors (I think ~5 last season) but his last one was in January and he's been pretty solid since. I've seen him a few times pull off great saves.

If he was that terrible I have a feeling Chelsea could afford to and would have replaced him.

I agree about the CB's but they might still go on to prove their quality. I'd take them over United's.
