As in title, Whats you're favourite Beef burger patties?

Personally, I use to buy the Birds Eye ones but since they've put the soya pea crap in them they're horrible, Tasteless mushy crap.

Also tried Tescos own which were 86% Beef content iirc and they have ZERO seasoning!

I love the type that these catering vans use, Sure probably not much meat content but damn they taste good!

Either DIY smash burgers or the local butchers ones which are nice, not too thick not too thin. I assume they're just beef and nothing else.

I've given up buying them now, just make my own.

I used to have a burger press which was pretty handy, but tend to use the smashburger technique these days.

Just some decent mince, salt and pepper and mixed by hand for a few seconds.

I use 125g of mince beef, just some salt and pepper and then use 2 cherry profile spare space bars as a height gauge when squashing into shape.

just make your own out of decent been mince takes seconds. decent steak mince pack evenly divide into cubes. then roll into ball then squash flat. done. put pepper salt in if you want. 500 gram steak mine will make you 4 solid thickish burgers or 8 mcdonlands thin ones. i dont know why more dont do it. its all mcdonalds does.

The aldi 'wagyu' ones are the go to premade for us, but diy smash with a bit of cheese in the middle is next level juicy.

I don't know why you'd buy them premade.

Mince + salt and pepper. Maybe a little finely grated cheese, parsley if you're feeling bourgeoisie. Make into a ball, squash onto griddle, cook.

Yup sorry going in with a post of Birds Eye.... I wouldn't feed my children those.

Make your own.

Use 20% fat mince, you can add what you like, personally I do add onion, others don't, but I will put it in a food processor (the onion that is) so it's really diced up small.

Ive done them before where I've put a parcel of blue cheese in them, bit like a chicken Kiev although you have to cook them just enough otherwise it turns to liquid and runs out.

Best cooked on a hot BBQ but appreciate that isn't always practical.

Nice thing with DIY is you can mix em up.

Chopped chilli
Garlic
Onion
Cheese
Paprika
Ancho chillis
Cayenne
Blue cheese
Fresh herbs

But frankly I think the best will always be just seasoned mince smashed on to a hot cast iron pan so it gets a good crust. Let the burger toppings do the fancy stuff.

Seems very unnecessary imo. [burger press]
Disagree with that, smashed burgers are best done when smashed while on the heat source, not pre-smashed then placed on... basically just a normal burger then :D

I also DIY, regrettably using 95/5 mince because it's what the boss demands.
