RTX 50 is designed for PCIE 5.0.

Eteknix tested RTX 5090 PCIE scaling showed Gen 5 has better minimum, average and maximum fps than Gen 4 in games like Spiderman 2 etc.

All 50 series have PCIE 5.0 interfaces so quite easy to argue for it.

It will still work in a pci-e 4.0 slot with hardly any performance loss. PCI-e is backwards compatible.

It was designed for it, I wouldn't say it gets much out of it though (Even a 5090)

is this a semantics argument over defining what "designed for" means?
I mean, yes the 50 series has a 5.0 interface, it was "designed" to have it, but GPU's aren't generally "designed" specifically for a particular pcie revision, they will generally just use whatever the current one is at the point the card layout / bom is chosen, and are then backwards compatible to all previous versions
