Google Pixel 10 Series (10/10 Pro/10 Pro XL/10 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 4)

Looking for a new phone to replace my S23+ but the 10 pro XL pink tinted screen is concerning for me. Are they all slightly pink/overly warm in tone?
I am still using my 8 Pro and when I got home from work last night I grabbed 10 Pro XL and used it for remaining of the night and I have to say that without putting it next to my 8 Pro it was ok to use. Unfortunately screen variation seems to be normal with oled, if you search, there is plenty of posts with similar problems on iPhone 16 series.
Don't be put off by it, everyone's eyes are different. Things that bother me, wouldn't be a problem to probably 90% percent of users.

This.

I researched this and it's actually normal and very common on various phones with these panels, even TVs.

If people stopped going looking for issues as soon as they get something they'd 99% of the time be absolutely happy with their purchase.

My screen looks great, but to be fair I haven't held it at unnatural angles beside my old phone to see if I can detect a slight issue.

Upon receiving 10 Pro and comparing it to my 10 Pro XL unfortunately I confirmed what I expected. Pink shift on XL was too much for my eyes to accept.
Replacement on the way.

What is the screen like on your 10 Pro?

Any colour shifts?
Any oled I think has some sort of colour shift to some degree. But 10 Pro looks good. Colours look consistent enough when tilting even at high angle while my XL shifted pink badly.
Picture doesn't do full justice but it's visible even without that extreme angle.

Edit:
There is another thing I have noticed on the XL in camera the preview has very saturated colours but after taking the pic and processing it looks ok. 10 Pro doesn't have this issue.

Anyone here upgraded from a Pixel 6?

The wife's has a broken screen, crap battery and has started dropping calls so I'm thinking of picking a 10 Pro up for her.

I'm hoping the jump from 6 to 10 Pro will be worth it?
Seems like a huge leap to me - do you think she would care that much about the upgrade?

I bought an 8a for my wife (refurb) and she's been plenty happy with it.

There have been 9a offers going for £340-400 over recent weeks, personally I wouldn't want to spend that much extra on a 10 Pro if there wasn't a specific feature she was after.

Seems like some issues effecting the XL.

She likes having a telephoto so the A versions are out. I was convinced that a 9 Pro would be a better deal but with release trade in deals on a 10 Pro on the Google store they're withing £20 of each other so makes more sense to get the 10 Pro I think.

Who thinks it's worth waiting out the release of the S26 series over the Pixel 10? They're not too far away now. Coming from an S23+.

Fair enough. From what I've seen the trade in deals do make buying the new ones very competitive - unless you're willing to go two versions back I don't think you'd get a better deal.

If you like the Pixel 10 then don't wait, because you're then going to wait for something else when S26 releases etc etc.

My Pixel 10 Pro 256gb Moonshine has arrived. I have switched on & set a white background. All seems good not pink tints..
If I turn my phone to look at it at an extreme angle, I can see a hint of pink banding, but this is literally looking at it almost on the plane of the screen...

I feel like I'm just catching up magsage/pixelsnap accessories - my "normal" ridge wallet has lasted years and still going strong so I picked up this 3 card version for my phone. Now I don't have to keep my metal ridge wallet in a separate pocket for fear of scratching the phone when I'm out for food & beers! What other Pixelsnap accessories would you consider a must have?

I reckon this colour combo is likely not to everyones taste but I like the contrast
