They do look nice
For your budget stay with stereo.Ahh I hear the mackie CR speakers and a subwoofer are meant to be good ? would that do
Looking for monitor speakers just for gaming 2.1
Use them in the past and they are great but wanted to see what the fuss about with 2.1 monitor systems ppl are recommending etc. i looked at a razer nommo and then looked at the horror stories about razer stuffWould you consider a soundbar? I have a Creative Katana v2 with sub and it does me very nicely.

Might be a bit overkill for me to be fair. Just decent enough dont need house to rockGo for a stereo system, not a 2.1 system. You can add a subwoofer later
I have a AVR and passive speakers, used those for a while until I got a decent subwoofer (10" ported, 33kg, 500W, THX select)
any small amps that i would use with my PC you recommend ?. These aint the massive AV amps are they ?I'd go passive speakers, but for a desk setup you want near field speakers.
Passive speakers allow you to choose your own amp, replace it, change speakers leaving amp etc. Ie you could choose between a cheap D amp, Wiim Amp Pro, Stereo Integrated amp, or AVR. Easily add more speakers or sub as needed. If amp fails the speakers are still ok.
You can't do that with active speakers.
is TD Amp one you recommend ? Not sure what TD isI'd probably look into a small amp and passive speakers, should get you going. I'd skip subwoofer for your budget
Q Acounstics 3010i or 3020i, Wharfedale Diamond 9.0/9.1 and £50 for T/D amp
