Just over 10 mil recouped. Absolutely shocking, while our Ins I'd rate as 9/10.
Martinez is probably the most over hyped keeper in living memory. He's certainly done well over the past few seasons but he's a long way behind the best keepers around, that he's often compared to. That being said, he'd be less of a gamble than this Belgian keeper.
There's no right or wrong answer tbf. On one hand you can say Utd can't afford to gamble on somebody but on the other hand part of the reason Utd are in the mess they are is because they've blown far too much money on big names past their best.

I am a bit surprised just how much business we managed to do.
5 players in and 6 players out that needed to be gone.
I think the keeper is going to be one of our most important purchases if he ends up being any good.
I will be honest I know absolutely nothing about him but obviously United have been watching him.

We are still weak in midfield but we have made steps in the right direction. I am just worried about Amorims ability to deliver but I guess we will see after the international break.

Overall I think Liverpool's transfer window was very good and hopefully there's room for the youngsters on the fringes to still grow and get some game time. Rio does look like he'll fit in, but still needs to adapt and be protected from injuries at such a tender age that could hamper/ruin his career. Disappointingly the only negative was not getting Guehi in, but it was always going to be difficult.
Palace knew that he wanted to leave and the hierarchy fumbled big time as even Glasner said that from the end of last season, up until the 30th August they'd not brought in a replacement and that meant someone hadn't done their part of the deal (pointing the finger at the board). Plus, as soon as they knew Eze was going they could have used some of those funds to get in a replacement for Guehi which would have given then extra time, even with the interest/bid from Liverpool.
Next year I think will also be interesting as we'll have to look at replacements for Virgil and Salah as they will either be into their last year of their contracts or leaving depending upon how the wind blows and I think Konate will leave too. He's a bit hit and miss at times, but also thinks he's on a level with VVD (his comments post match have hinted he thinks he should get more MotM awards, rather than VVD).

That’s the argument I had with a work colleague, he had the perfect opportunity to miss that penalty, I don’t think he was giving his 100% after the final but put that down to him carrying an injuryNot taking it very well is he. He might have had a point (not really though) if isak didn't score a 89th penalty against Brighton to get you boys a point, but sure he was deliberately missing chances
Isak two seasons ago was mind blowing!! He huffed and looked disinterested at the start of last season before Howe told him publicly to earn a new contract.
And you are correct I’m pretty sure there’s been posts on here thinking he was carrying an injury when he dropped off the edge of a cliff towards the end. Having surgery etc when the season was over!
I think from the outside a lot of people think our window has been a massive success and we're just going to go from strength to strength but I think it's a bit more complicated than it looks.
Obvously when you sign Isak and Wirtz you're not going to be disappointed with the business you've done but I think there's going to be a period of bedding in and at least in the short term we're not as balanced as we were in attack as last season. For all the hype, I really don't think we're going to see much of Ngumoha outside of domestic cup games or with the side winning by 3 goals with 10 mins to go. Yes he's a huge talent but he's still a child and he'll struggle with the physical side of the game, particularly his defensive duties. The whole Isak, Ekitike dynamic will be interesting to see. Isak's clearly coming in as the main man and will play more often than not but Ekitike's looked the business so far and it'll be interesting to see how we try to get them both in the side at the same time or if we do.
The structure of the side as a whole hasn't looked right so far this season either. The Grav, Mac, Szobo midfield, while not spectacular was huge for us last season and Wirtz's arrival has complicated things and we've not yet found a way of balancing things. Szoboszlai's running power and physicality have been and will continue to be hugely important to the side but it's difficult to find a spot for him in midfield now.
It's under discussion with the mod team. @Rotty's suggestion was quite kind, @Josh's not so much. We'll be in touch soon.
I'm sure Klopp will be just fine. He will be remembered as an all time great Liverpool manager who helped rebuild the club into a force again, despite spending a fraction of what our rivals were, which allowed the club to plough hundreds of millions into infrastructure which in turn has now meant we're able to spend £400m+ in a summer and will still likely record a hefty profit this season. The guy was a genius and even the most bitter of rival supporters deep down know that.
And yet still managed to spend £20m less than Arsenal net. And that's without the Hincapie fee which will come next season.

Shirely they know that you can't just pick stats from one league and assume the same in the EPL. Although his error stats are likely to be higher given the jump in quality of opponents.
Still bleating on about winning the league in 2028, too.
